CNO's IT group is hiring a Director, IT Business Relationship Management (BRM) to serve as the primary contact for leaders in Marketing, involving projects with moderate to large complexity with heavy digital focus. Partners with business and IT leadership to identify, scope, align and prioritize technology needs to support business goals and objectives.

As a Director, IT Business Relationship Management, your responsibilities will include:

• Develops and maintains strategic relationships across all levels of leadership within assigned business units of moderate to large complexity and technology demand.
• Serves as a primary contact for the assigned business areas, for any issue pertaining to IT resources.
• Communicates with assigned business organization / function regarding any system issues, communicating status, action plans and resolution / root cause.
• Oversees prioritization and delivery of programs for business unit value realization.
• Accountable for delivery of committed outcomes of all IT capabilities leveraged by supported business organizations / function (inclusive of all services from project execution to "keep the lights on").
• Understands the overarching business model as well as the interests / drivers for each assigned business unit and advocates for the requestor(s) with the impacted technology teams and third-party vendors.
• Partners across Business Architecture and Program Management, as well as other IT leaders to develop strategic roadmaps that define the initiatives and projects required to meet the strategic objectives and optimize spend.

The Director, IT Business Relationship Management position is well-suited for you if you are:

• Adept at building relationships and credibility at all levels of the organization across business and IT teams.
• Self-motivated and self-directed with a track record for aligning business unit strategies and technical objectives while managing competing and conflicting priorities.
• Able to lead and manage across functional areas, influencing positive outcomes, under conditions of ambiguity and uncertainty.
• Curious, a quick study, enjoy learning new things, problem solving and connecting dots.
• Skilled in written and oral communications, demonstrating keen listening skills with the ability to translate technical matters in business terms and proactively manage expectations.

Qualified candidates will have:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology or related field; Masters and/or MBA preferred
• At least 10 years of relevant insurance experience, including facilitating strategic decision making, translating business priorities to technical roadmaps and IT portfolio management.
• Strong program management skills, including change leadership and experience driving operational excellence with a continuous improvement mindset.
• Business Analyst, Business Architecture, App Dev or consulting background is a plus, as is Agile acumen.

At this time, CNO is not mandating its associates to be vaccinated against COVID-19 as a condition of employment. CNO Financial Group offices reopened in April 2022 and we will be pursuing a hybrid working model. Associates who live within a 60 mile radius of a corporate office (Carmel, IN; Chicago, or Milwaukee) will have access to come into that Office up to 2 days/week, and work from home at least 3 days/week.
