Our Digital Advisors know their customer's mission, the industry in which they operate, and how Microsoft can help them drive their digital transformation. The broad scope of responsibility for this role requires a solid understanding of both mission and technology strategy, a principled approach to broad digital transformational challenges and opportunities. Digital Advisors also share a common set of characteristics - including executive presence, creativity, strong leadership and exceptional people skills.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to guide customers as they re-imagine and embark on their end-to-end digital transformation journey. You will have the opportunity to influence and shape the future business landscape, create real business value and drive innovation and business change. The focus of the Digital Advisor role is to Dream, Design & Deliver Digital Transformation, bringing innovative ideas, leveraging the Microsoft Platform and showcasing the unique role that Microsoft can play.
Digital Advisors 's must have a proven track record and multi-year history of successfully driving major, enterprise-wide Programs of Change. Expertise with Mission/Enterprise Architecture concepts and the ability to analyze and influence alignment between mission and IT, leading C-level/SES-level discussions that communicate the value of change and transformational architectures to mission stakeholders.
Business Strategy, Planning & Architecture
Diagnosis of client's mission state (current or future) incl. strategy, mission fulfillment, products/services, customers, competitors, organization, and culture.
Develop recommendations to support proposed changes and new technologies, calculate/plan mission value of the proposed changes - specify an approach to develop, define content, and measure results.
Advisory Services
Has a well-established system for analyzing technology in an IT service/solution portfolio, with years of presentations to SES / Director / Deputy Director about their portfolio and its alignment with mission strategy. Consulted organizations about deploying Digital Transformation practices utilizing leading Industry Architecture and business models, including TOGAF and Zachman, Technology Solutions & Services portfolio assessment, Solution architecture, Technical planning & architecture.
Relationship & Stakeholder Management
Influence senior level decision makers in agencies and organization(s), regularly consulted by top government decision makers and non-government executives. Have a robust multi-year history of pinpointing technology needs concerning mission execution and requirements, presenting it to -senior military, government, and non-government decision-makers to describe the impact and value of Digital Transformation to support the strategy of the agency.
Business Change Implementation & Management
Multi-year history of successfully driving major, enterprise-wide programs of change. Lead enterprise-wide projects or programs, specifying initial assessment of needs, project/program organization, roles & resources, process used to design, plan and execute and results achieved.Qualifications Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business or related field AND 8+ years technical consulting, consultative selling, or related technical work
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience developing architecture strategies, blueprints, and road-maps.
  • 1+ years of Digital Transformation experience.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph

Additional or Preferred Qualifications:
Successful Digital Advisors possess a shared common set of characteristics and bring the experience that will drive innovation and customer value leveraging the following:

  • Proven, successful work experience in the U.S. Intelligence Community (viewed as SME and a thought leader) and/or proven, successful work experience in an external services consulting & advisory position with Public Sector customers, particularly Department of Defense, Intelligence and Federal Civilian.
  • Broad understanding of current and emerging Digital Solutions, and experience managing technology-enabled business change.
  • Executive presence, including the ability to hold senior decision-maker level discussions, and possesses exceptional executive-level interpersonal, verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Ability to generate trust, build alliances, and orchestrate interdisciplinary teams to the benefit of customers.
  • Situational awareness to adapt and solve challenges from a mission and technology perspective.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with practical operational execution and delivery, including the coordination of relevant resources.
  • Empathy, curiosity, and desire to continually improve, acquire new skills and drive for results.
  • Consistent record of delivering mission/stakeholder value, by bringing the benefits of technology to transform the mission of the customer.
  • Ability to conceptualize, launch and plan the delivery of digital-enabled mission-change projects.
  • Passion for technology, mission-enablement, industry trends and, most specifically, the Customer.
  • Ability to become an advocate for Microsoft's vision and value proposition.
  • A recognized innovator with strong storytelling abilities to inspire a growth mindset for the teams and the customers.

Top Secret Poly Clearance:
The successful candidate must have an active U.S. Government Top Secret Clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) based on a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) with Polygraph.
A bility to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. Failure to maintain or obtain the appropriate U.S. Government clearance and/or customer screening requirements may result in employment action up to and including termination.
US Citizenship:
The successful candidate must be a U.S. Citizen. Citizenship Verification: This position requires verification of US Citizenship to meet federal government security requirements.
Cloud Screening: Candidates must be able to successfully complete and pass a Microsoft Cloud background screening. Required Cloud Screenings will be administered on a recurring bi-annual basis.
Candidates selected for this position must comply with Federal Executive Order 14042 mandating that federal contractors and subcontractors receive the COVID-19 vaccine by being fully vaccinated before their date of hire, or work with Microsoft to receive an approved religious or medical accommodation.
