Diagnostic Coordinator
Summary/objective
As a key member of the asTech diagnostic team, the Diagnostic Coordinator will assist in the virtual diagnosis and repair recommendation process for vehicles involved in collisions. Your ability to effectively manage time and organize resources while also professionally interacting with asTech customers is essential.
Essential functions

- Primary duties are completed in a shop environment.
- Serve as primary client contact as needed within the service process.
- Champion the necessity for diagnostic scans at assigned shop.
- Coordinate and set-up vehicles for remote scanning by an asTech Remote Technician.
- Moving and transporting vehicles.
- Test drives after repairs are completed.
- Assist asTech Remote Technician with required manual diagnostic tests.
- Adept ability to work in a team environment.
- Assist asTech Remote Technicians in performing technical evaluations.
- Adhere to all company policy, procedure, safety and environmental rules.
- Additionally, any other duties assigned or required by Company, Management, and business needs.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of 6 months' experience in the automotive industry at an entry level position and/or as a Lube Technician.
- Understanding of automotive industry and various manufacturer acronyms and lingo preferred.
- Current, valid driver's license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) required.
Preferred Qualifications/Skills:
- A technical or vocational school participant/graduate preferred.
- Self-motivated, high energy and a client-focused perspective.
- New car dealership experience is considered a plus.
- Familiarity with using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) is considered a plus.
Supervisory responsibilities
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers.
Physical demands
Physical requirements include occasional lifting/carrying of 5 pounds; visual acuity, speech and hearing; hand and eye coordination and manual operate a computer keyboard and basic office equipment. Subject to sitting, standing, reaching, walking, twisting, and kneeling to perform the essential functions. Working conditions are primarily inside an office environment.
