What emerging digital technology will you add to the mix?

The Development Lead is responsible for the technical leadership for Petivity IoT services. Focused primarily on cloud infrastructure, AI/ML, and backend service development, this role will provide both development guidance as well as technical strategy contributions.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead execution of commercial cloud services while actively contributing to development
  • Collaborate and lead development of high quality service-based overall architecture
  • Collaborate with the product owner to understand requirements and communicate risks/roadblocks
  • Lead development across the team for product services in Python that support the business requirements
  • Demonstrate knowledge NoSQL databases
  • Make recommendations for future state service development
  • Develop technical documents (documentation, best practices, and architecture diagrams)
  • Always on learning mentality as we introduce new devices, services, and features
  • Be an individual contributor when it comes to designing and developing frameworks and critical pieces of code which have a wider impact


Basic Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree plus 3+ years of related work experience architecting, developing, and maintaining scaled technical solutions in a cloud environment OR high school degree plus 7+ years of related work experience architecting, developing, and maintaining scaled technical solutions in a cloud environment.
  • 1+ years of experience in Cloud (preferably AWS), Automation, Agile, Lean, and/or DevOps, Containerization required.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud development in Python (or Java) required.
