About the team
You would have the challenging opportunity to be a people leader with a diverse group of technology development professionals, focusing on all the well-being and career progression of our development personnel.
What you will be doing

  • Provide administrative and training support to your managers and their teams.
  • Develop and implement strategic initiatives that improve overall Tech Ops and/or Tech Dev processes and applications.
  • Help manage resource management activities with one or more domain areas as required.
  • Develop and implement action plans to improve employee engagement, satisfaction and employee performance (Glint).
  • Design, create and maintain an on-demand process for metrics and reporting to ensure the management team and their teams are providing the highest level of service to internal and external customers.
  • Facilitate transition with managers when teams and/or resources move across products.
  • Coordinate weekly team meeting(s) and keep your team apprised of department and company changes.
  • Attend a sample set of daily/weekly standup meetings with your teams.
  • Identify non-development activities that belong in other departments.
  • Resolve critical issues and contribute to business unit/area development.
  • Manage work efforts of managers/supervisors with responsibility for hiring, performance improvement plans and subsequent actions if required, performance appraisals and salary reviews.
  • Identify and allocate technical resources to client projects within development.
  • Forecast resource needs based on an analysis of both portfolio and projected client spend.
  • Maximize both utilization and profitability of assigned team of resources' time.
  • Ensure applications meet appropriate quality standards.
  • Adhere to departmental and company application development and compliance standards.
  • Coordinate with industry compliance consultants and product managers to verify applications meet regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure proper application of technology.


What you bring:
Bachelor's degree in computer science or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.

  • Extensive skills in project management, organization, communications, analytical and people skills.
  • Extensive experience leading, supervising and managing effectively under pressure.
  • Gravitas and ability to comfortably interact across all levels within the organization including executives, business partners, outside alliances and relationships.
  • Effectively delegate and manage projects to qualified subordinates as appropriate.
  • Proven ability to lead, direct and manage effectively.
  • Proven ability to operate independently.
  • Proven ability to exhibit solid decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Extensive experience communicating effectively verbally and in writing.
