Responsible for the identification, evaluation, controls and reporting, and proactive management of Treasury Solutions' inherent, control and residual risks within Truist's established risk appetite.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.
1. Support client suitability and risk due diligence activities for designated TS products and services, including but not limited to ACH, Wire, and Remote Deposit Capture
2. Map key processes, controls and risks in the business unit
3. Complete risk assessments to include the business unit's self-assessment
4. Identify risk issues and monitor resolution. Maintain a high level understanding of the control environment (proactive/reactive, leading/lagging, automated/manual) and support the ongoing effectiveness of risk controls. Test as appropriate
5. Maintain a strong understanding of the business unit's products, processes and technologies. Maintain a high-level knowledge and provide guidance on laws, regulations, rules and industry-related best practices applicable to the business unit
6. Prepare documentation, as needed, to sponsor qualifying business change through established risk evaluation processes
7. Ensure risk management practices are integrated into all product/process developments, changes and/or terminations
8. Coordinate the development and/or timely update of policies, standards and procedures
9. Assist in the coordination of Treasury Solutions audits, regulatory exams, and risk assessments to include the gathering of due diligence items and drafting of management responses
10. Serve as point of contact and represent the business unit in meetings with vested stakeholders and partners
11. Capture, report, and monitor effective key risk indicators, current and emerging risks, and other risk information
12. Adhere to and follow all applicable policies and procedures. Proactively escalate issues and risks to leadership's attention
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
1. Bachelor's degree in a business-related field or equivalent education and related training
2. 5-7 years of experience in the banking industry with an emphasis on existing/emerging deposits and/or operations activities
3. Strong knowledge and understanding of risk management concepts and practices
4. Solid time management and organizational skills
5. Extremely adaptable to dynamic work environment; ability to work well independently and with all levels of management
6. Highly effective interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills with the ability to express complex concepts in clear and concise business terms
7. Self-Motivated, takes initiative and focuses on achieving results
8. Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Master's degree in Business or related field, or equivalent education and related training
2. Process Master, Project Management, and/or other risk-related internal/industry certifications
3. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Visio
4. Knowledge or prior working experience with ACH or Nacha guidelines
