About the team
Serve as technology delivery lead on large scale Modern Banking client implementation projects and programs. Works across the organization to ensure delivery and drives prioritization of enhancements and defect resolution through the SDLC. Functions as a liaison between engineering and implementations to ensure timely delivery of capabilities and a successful client implementation.
What you will be doing:

  • Demonstrated ability to build strong partnerships and relationships with Product, QA, Implementation, Engineering and Enterprise Architecture
  • Removes obstacles and coordinating resources to continually increase team throughput, predictability, and quality
  • Working with shared services teams to remove impediments and obstacles for improvement of product delivery and cycle time
  • Setting of product team success measures to deliver the right value to our clients
  • Contribution and maintenance of a product technology roadmap and backlog and the application of architectural standards in the team's deliverables
  • Develop and execute on-going improvements for processes related to the team (e.g. incident management escalations)
  • Deep understanding of the product team's systems, processes, priorities, and technologies while representing these aspects to all levels of IS leadership
  • Guide teams to do their work in a way that minimizes key-person dependencies and knowledge silos
  • Representation to ensure firm and division processes are followed and risk is reduced by the product team (e.g. compliance change management, information security, etc.)
  • Ability to hold teams accountable for setting and achieving Service Level Objectives
  • In the people leadership portion of this role, this leader will be responsible for:
  • Coaching and mentoring of each team member through observation and timely feedback
  • Identification of key team positions and develop ready-now successors
  • Develop and execute on-going improvements for processes related to the team (e.g. resource management and support processes).
  • Establish and maintain effective communications and relationships across teams, departments, vendors, and other divisions
  • Must be able to establish and maintain effective relationships with vendors while aligning to the firm's objectives
  • As a Delivery Manager you will manage one or more client projects, driving execution to deliver a specific product or application or enhancements
  • Be mindful of standards & best practices within the Development, Business Analyst and Quality Assurance Analyst practice(s) and ensure that they are being leveraged within the Project Technology team.
  • Oversee dependencies for complex projects spanning multiple business units.
  • Communicate consistently and effectively with internal business partners and project managers to understand appropriate project needs and requirements.
  • Identify risk areas and provide alternate strategies to address concerns.
  • You will be adept at delivering complex projects, breaking down barriers for your team and both planning at a higher level and getting into the detail to make things happen.
  • Defines project needs and feeding these into the PMO/portfolio process will enable resource to be appropriately allocated.
  • Create executive status reporting and escalate impediments, manage risk, help assure value delivery, and help drive continuous improvement
  • Act as an advocate of technical direction & designated best practices at a project execution level
  • Deliver projects and products using the appropriate agile project management methodology, learning & iterating frequently - 35%
  • Work with the PMO and Business/Product team to ensure we stay aligned to the Project roadmap for any given product/application.
  • Work with the BAs and review that the project translate into epics, features, and user stories with acceptance criteria


What you bring:
Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Information systems is preferred.

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience directly related to Information Systems technology with at least 5 year in a leadership role (mentoring associates, lead analyst, project leaders, etc.).
  • Financial Services experience required.
  • Direct experience in deploying and managing capabilities in the banking product ecosystem.
  • Understanding of Product Teams and Agile methodology and practices.
  • Good communication and presentation skills to be able to interact with business stakeholders.
