Atlassian can hire people in any country where we have a legal entity, assuming candidates have eligible working rights and a sufficient timezone overlap with their team. As our offices re-open, Atlassians can choose to work remotely or return to an office, unless it’s necessary for the role to be performed in the office. Interviews and onboarding are conducted virtually, a part of being a distributed-first company.

We’re searching for an experienced Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Specialist to lead our work in crafting scalable frameworks to ensure cross-cultural excellence at the company and team levels. We believe in the power of diversity, we aim for nothing short of equity for every Atlassian, and we are committed to a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive.

As we embark on a five-year strategic plan to transform Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) at Atlassian, we’ve developed a working model that centers on embedding all of our People Programs with DEI methodologies. As the DEI Specialist for Inclusion, you’ll have the opportunity to drive innovation for how we weave new practices into our company DNA.

Reporting into the Head of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, this is an ideal role for a highly creative DEI specialist with a desire to participate in shaping global inclusion practices for the future. In our remote-first workforce, you'll collaborate with teammates from Sydney to San Francisco to Bangalore.

Responsible for:

  • Expertise in DEI: translates the latest in global DEI research and frameworks into design principles across all performance review, talent development, and enablement initiatives
  • Cross-functional innovation: partners with leaders from across the business to combine research, trends, and data insights to integrate DEI frameworks into the design and testing of cutting-edge TEAM Anywhere inclusion programs
  • Data driven insights: partners with the DEI Analytics Lead to use internal data to champion and prioritize the biggest opportunities for improved experiences for Atlassians from underrepresented groups
  • Employee Resource Group consultant management: runs contracts, timelines, and review processes with external consultants to build outstanding global employee resource groups

Capabilities:

  • Leader with a point of view: studies trends in the global DEI space, monitors current events, and applies that insight to strategy
  • Connector and collaborator: capable of working with and through others to craft and implement global programs
  • Dedicated to data: proficient in partnering with data analysts to ensure measure outcomes and opportunities
  • Effective program manager: can independently drive external relationships and projects end-to-end, driving review of programs from concept to launch in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment
  • Communicator: thoughtfully translates complex and intersectional topics and terms for internal and external audiences

Qualifications:

5+ years of total of experience in DEI Research and/or Program Design experience required.
