DBS Leader is responsible for promoting and leading the successful implementation of the Danaher Business System (DBS) within the Clinical Informatics (CIT) Business of Beckman Coulter Diagnostics. This role will be a key partner to the Product Development organization, with strong and proven ability to drive effective deployment of DBS. This role is a remote position, reporting to the Senior Director of R&D. Your scope of responsibility will cover multiple functions including R&D, product management, program management and commercial, requiring a breath of experience across a diverse set of DBS tools. You will be directly responsible for driving, coaching, mentoring all members of the CIT team with respect to DBS skills and knowledge.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Drive growth by building the Innovation Engine and applying DBS Innovation tools to enhance agile product development processes.
  • Develop and manage the DBS Road Map to drive organization maturity
  • Increase DBS capability through thoughtful deployment and sustainment of Innovation Playbook elements.
  • Benchmark with other DBSLs, sites, and OpCos to identify improvement opportunities and incorporate them into Business Unit best practices.
  • Coach and Mentor leaders and other associates in the application of the DBS tools; Teach and coach PSP across multiple functional teams; advise on the best DBS tool to get a problem solved
  • Facilitate Kaizen events and en sure successful kaizen events by installing and ensuring compliance to the kaizen process; Manage the DBS certification process for BU team members


Desired Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred
  • DBS or CPI (Continuous Process Improvement) domain expertise in either agile/scrum software development or commercial, with an interest in building expertise across other functions
  • Strong project management and team leadership skills; Demonstrated ability to teach and coach others
  • 5+ years of experience in Product Development
  • Superior skills in communications, training / adult learning, influencing; teamwork across disciplines, regions, and cultures
  • Ability to travel up to 25% domestic and international


This role can be remote or based in one of Beckman Coulter's offices in Brea, CA; Miami, FL; or Chaska, MN.
