Responsible for the organization and flow of recipe and nutrition data specific to Canada jurisdiction. Ensures data integrity, accuracy, completeness and timeliness. Ensures data is entered into hosting systems in accordance with maintenance schedule and policies. Serves as premier source for accurate, timely, relevant, and actionable information and analysis to affect operational decisions and process improvements. This role will ensure compliance with accurate French translation of ingredients, allergens, and other data fields.

Responsibilities:

  • Gains familiarity with team policies, procedures and practices.
  • With guidance, learns to perform the duties of a Data Operations Specialist, including:
    • Entering routine data into established hosting systems
    • Identifying and correcting data inconsistencies
    • Preparing periodic and routine reports
  • Supports team efforts to evaluate and understand process-related work issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Actively participates in team meetings.
  • Assists with special projects as assigned.

Skills:

  • Experience in the food industry preferred.
  • Familiarity with Excel software.
  • Ability to run basic queries using SQL.
  • Ability to perform system data entry while maintaining high degree of data integrity.
  • Ability to identify and correct routine data integrity issues.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Fluency in Canadian/Quebec French preferred, but not required.
  • Receives close supervision or is guided by detailed instructions for all work.
  • Listens to and asks questions to understand team, partner and customer needs and seek clarification.
  • Works effectively one-on-one and in group / presentation situations.
  • Develops working relationships with internal team and supported work groups.
  • Organizes and completes tasks according to assigned priorities.
  • Shows initiative by asking questions and seeking to increase own knowledge and contribution.
  • Provides regular updates on work progression.
  • Works on routine assignments requiring limited judgment.
  • Resolves routine questions, referring more complex issues to higher levels.
  • Follows standard procedures and written direction to accomplish assigned tasks.
  • Ensures accuracy of data and information provided to team.
  • Gains understanding of the WFM organizational structure, associated hierarchy and approval levels.
  • Gains understanding of the types and timing of various departmental deadlines and events.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 1-2 years of related experience preferred.
