Description

Provides expertise in the design, development, implementation, and analysis of technical products and systems. Has broad knowledge of engineering procedures and provides expertise in the application of state-of-the-art technology to meet mission requirements.

Support all aspects of Security Management System in the FAA ATO involving activities associated with developing solutions to prevent NAS and other FAA/DOT systems from unauthorized access or sabotage, and the stability of the system to survive a security threat in the operational environment. Support the effort to protect proprietary information to which the government and its users have access. Support tasks include but are not limited to: 1) Identification of threats; 2) Performance of risk and vulnerability assessments; 3) Risk analyses and risk mitigation recommendations; 4) Incident detection and remediation; 5) Testing of proposed and applicable security solutions; 6) Development of security policies and requirements; 7) Review of INFOSEC documentation; 8) Development of Security Certification and Authorization Packages (SAB/SSP/etc).

Support the NAS System Contingency Plan (NSCP) Remote Maintenance Logging System (RMLS), and IARD

Any FAA En-Route Automation Modernization experience is highly desirable.

Qualifications

MINIMUM TANGIBLE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Develop and prepare high level presentations for FAA senior managers using appropriate MS software, charts, original graphics, and FAA Branding formats and guidelines;
  • Provide technical writing assistance to organize and translate complex data into clear and usable issue papers, reports, articles, briefings, job aids, and guidance documents for diverse target audiences and complete deliverables;
  • Develop agendas, meeting resources, and minutes;
  • Assist with developing and tracking business plan goals and project milestones;
  • Provide assistance with planning and scheduling briefings/meetings including the compilation and administration of background and support material, arranging facilities and coordinating accommodations;
  • Review all documents for proper content, format, grammar, and spelling;
  • Maintain program documents and assist with analysis of program performance;
  • Prepare client deliverables;
  • Develop high level presentations, issue papers and reports,
  • Record and tracking meeting minutes and action items;
  • Engage with customer organizations and executive staff during high level meetings;
  • Must be able to review formulation and execution documents for accuracy;
  • Combine data result sets across multiple sources; deliver data in a useful and appealing way to end users;
  • Ability to provide access to Data/KSN sites.
  • Expertise with MS Office Suite

Education and experience requirements: Bachelor's of Science Degree in engineering or related field Required with 15+ years' experience. Doctorate in engineering with 5 years recent and relevant experience, or a Master of Science degree in engineering with 10 years relevant experience.15 years' experience in lieu of degree.

US Citizenship required with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance

Target salary range: $125,001 - $150,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
