About the Role:

Elsevier's Nursing & Health Education division is seeking a Customer Engagement Manager that will own the management and strategy pertaining to both our Elsevier-hosted events and external convention exhibits. This role oversees the processes, planning, and execution of impactful engagement opportunities from live webinars to symposia and conferences to appreciation events.

You will partner across the team to create engaging and impactful events for customers where we share the latest research and thought leadership, define challenges and provide digital solutions, and support our Nursing customers while strengthening relationships across Nursing Education.

Elsevier Nursing & Health Education creates comprehensive curriculum solutions that provide authoritative learning content, state-of-the-art technology, and insightful data Nursing faculty need to achieve positive program outcomes.

In this role, you'll:

Own planning and execution of customer-facing events such as key conferences, live webinars, customer events, and symposia.

  • Manage budget, internal messaging and meetings, strategic timelines, and stakeholder deliverables for events.
  • Partner with Exhibits Managers and unite Product Marketing with Customer Engagement strategists to influence a strong conference schedule and content agenda.
  • Work closely with our Thought Leadership manager to weave the latest research into event speakers and programming.


Craft and drive marketing plans within the team to support Conference and Events promotion.

  • Partner with MarCom, Creative, and Operations to drive awareness and event registration through email and social media.
  • Consult with Sales on key customer invitation lists and account-based opportunities.
  • Deliver post-event statistics on engagement and attendance.


Partner with the Customer Experience team to launch feedback opportunities for attendees.

  • Consult on pre- and post-event surveys, integrating actionable data to drive future event decisions.
  • Support Elsevier Nursing Community Programs in various responsibilities including for Nursing Symposium Network.



This role is a fit if you have:

  • BA/BS in Marketing, Communications, Sales, or similar discipline.
  • 5-7 years' experience in B2B event or conference planning, customer engagement programs, or marketing/sales in higher education or healthcare.
  • The ability to travel 4-5 times per year for various events within the US.
  • Impeccable organization skills and attention to detail while managing multiple event plans at once.



A successful candidate must possess exemplary interpersonal, organizational, and administrative skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required.
