The Customer Business Director, will be responsible for establishing fundamentals required to build a strong relationship with key personnel at all levels within assigned customer and develop understanding of key stakeholders within Collins Aerospace. In this position, you will have significant interactions with senior leaders at key accounts to include Delta Airlines regarding existing programs as well as discussions on future programs. You will be responsible for managing relationships with customers to support growth and ensure high level of service.

This position can be worked remotely in the Atlanta, GA region and will require onsite activity at times at customer sites.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Establish resolution priorities at the customers (own the problem resolution process)
  • Navigate the Collins organization across all BU's and functional disciplines to facilitate the optimum solutions for the customer
  • Effectively balance customer demands/needs with the business' strategy/needs
  • Provide recommendations to support repair, spares and inventory forecast/planning and corporate strategy initiatives
  • Own the Aftermarket customer interface for Collins Aerospace with goal to maximize customer affinity with key decision makers and influencers
  • Driving customer core team (CCT) meetings to ensure a one Collins customer experience. Must have a holistic view of customer and impact of one or more SBU action(s) on overall relationship
  • Negotiate all contracts (Repair, Spares, Mods & Upgrades, License, General Terms)
  • Coordinate with Collins Aerospace Field Service Managers and responsible Fleet Managers to develop new business opportunities and raise any known technical issues with Field Service Manager and follow progress
  • Facilitate resolution of customer satisfaction issues leveraging functional Customer Service groups and product line program management
  • Maintain Executive briefing documents and strategy documents for assigned customers as needed
  • Manage accounts receivable
  • Know the customer's organization, culture, structure, key decision makers and the customer decision making process and be responsible for overall customer satisfaction for assigned customer


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and 10 years of prior relevant experience OR
  • Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience OR
  • In absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience is required
  • Must be available for travel up to 20%
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. Collins Aerospace will not offer sponsorship for this position


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience within the Aerospace industry
  • Prior experience managing and owning the relationship with key customers and driving business growth
  • Prior experience working collaboratively amongst internal and external stakeholders
