The Curriculum Specialist II designs and develops learning solutions to address anticipated business needs and identified business challenges. Learning professional, instructional designer and facilitator with responsibility for enhancing frontline associate performance by designing, developing and maintaining learning and performance support materials.

Facilitation

Delivers a range of training from simple to complex products, processes, soft skills and basic, low level leadership content, to diverse audiences, demonstrating a clear understanding of multiple subjects.

Curriculum Development

Analyzes researches and develops training solutions following instructional design theory and submits for review and approval.

Skill & Job Task Gap Analysis

Using various methods, assess the skill level and knowledge level of Loan Operations' non-exempt population. End result is providing results to Manager, Business Owners with recommendations.

Work Closely with Business Partners to implement change

Serves as the liaison between the department and the Learning and Development Team.

Measure Training Effectiveness

Create, administer, or support levels 1-5 Training Assessments. (Kirkpatrick model)

Deliver results to Manager.

Team Member Development

Provides basic coaching for team members and acts as a point of contact for new on-boarding team members. Deliver developmental modules relating to low impact scenarios, e.g. applying basic leadership content to their team, as directed by the Director of Training.

7.

Team Development

Provides cross training and support for colleagues. In addition offer on-barding support to newly hired training staff.

8.

Credibility

Provides detailed advice and support relating to areas of expertise.

9.

Learning Management System (LMS)

Support the continued design and implementation of the LMS.

Travel Requirement: In meeting business demands travel will be required. This role could require travel

up to 30% for two week intervals, including weekend stays, sometimes to remote locations.

Experience and Education

  • Degree in Education, Training & Development, Communications or related area desired



(Comparable work related experience acceptable)

  • 2 years' experience in Standup Facilitation (trainer, educator, etc)
  • 2 years' experience in Curriculum development
  • 1 year experience in managing data/reporting
  • Call center experience preferred
  • Experience in training technologies preferred (Adobe E-Learning Suites, Articulate, Lectora or similar design tools)
  • Active member of a professional training organization preferred

  • Consultant Skills including (perform job tasks & skill gap assessments and create recommendations to key internal business partners)
  • Competent with Microsoft Office suite

  • Must have the desire to constantly learn and explore new, innovative technologies
  • Demonstrates ability to effectively communicate thoughts/concepts/information clearly, in both verbal and written form.
