GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Under the supervision of Senior Manager - Installations, Operations Manager has overall responsibility of assigned installation projects, and supports Senior Manager - Installations with project planning including scheduling and budgeting and Staffing Forecasts. Operation Manager is also responsible for providing oversight of installation resources (Subcontractors and Daifuku employees) to complete installation and upgrade of Daifuku AMHS equipment safely in a timely manner and within budget. Operations Manager is required to manage project cost and report costs to the executive management team. Operations Manager must follow designated installation procedures and safety guidelines established for work areas. This position is required to work overtime, weekends, and holidays and to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

1. Work with the Sales Department to develop project budgets and installation plans to achieve profit target
2. Plan the delivery of the overall projects and activities in accordance with the deadline and customer expectations/needs
3. Managing employees; reviews, training, discipline, coaching
4. Assign and manage employee's work schedule and specific duties based on the project and determine staffing needs
5. Develop a project evaluation to assess the strengths of the project and to identify areas for improvement
6. Supervise and oversee all installation resources (contractors and Daifuku employees)
7. Manage selection, orientation, training and evaluation of resources in support of the Project Managers
8. Manage project cost and report project costs to executive management team
9. Communicate and report the project status both to the customer and internal Daifuku America functions
10. Build alliances and partnerships with other organizations.
11. Maintain and initiate direct contact with customers through daily and weekly on-site meetings to assure customer satisfactions
12. Train and mentor Site and Project Managers
13. Participate in making important policy, planning, and strategy decisions.
14. Coordinate materials and parts delivered to the site
15. Participate actively in site safety, comply with safety protocol, guidelines and report unsafe conditions
16. Create, implement and monitor all manpower shift/backfill planning to comply with installation contracts and Scope of Work requirements.
17. Identify and address problems and opportunities for the company.
18. Participate in the development, implementation and review operational of policies and procedures.
19. Assist with recruiting when necessary.
20. Help promote a company culture that encourages top performance and high morale.
21. Participate in budgeting, reporting, planning, and auditing.
22. Work with senior stakeholders.
23. Support worker communication with the management team.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS and ABILITIES
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment • Possess strong oral and written communication skills• Ability to manage project team, budgets, and schedule• Must be flexible and adaptive to the changes• Must be able to identify problems and come up with solutions• Must be able to work under pressure of customer and complete tasks under tight time frame• Must be able to work overtime, weekends and holidays• Required to follow and understand work rules, procedures and safety guidelines• Required to travel as needed (Domestic and International)• Must always conform to customer's safety and cleanliness policies to maintain a safe and clean work environment• Must be highly motivated to coordinate resources toward successful completion of projects

EDUCATION
• Bachelor's Degree in Management or Technical (Mechanical or Electrical) field is a plus.

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

Knowledge: • Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical knowledge• Robotics• Drawing reading and understanding of schematics
Computer Skills:• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point and Project) • Windows OS
Experience:• Minimum 5 - 10 years of managing experiences • Previous semiconductor experiences (preferred)• Working with diversity• Project Planning
