Slack is looking to hire a Creative Operations Manager to join our creative team. In partnership with the Marketing organization at Slack, you will be responsible for shepherding a variety of campaigns and programs through the full production lifecycle from inception to final delivery. You will be expected to lead several projects simultaneously through timeline creation, asset management, and ensuring clarity with stakeholder reviews and feedback. Additionally, this role will focus on building relationships with our global partners, scaling our international programs and improving processes and systems both internally as well as with external agencies.

What you'll do:

  • Own the maintenance and continued build out of our DAM (digital asset management tool)
  • Lead and manage our creative QA and final delivery process for global programs and campaigns
  • Work with procurement, legal and finance as needed to support the SOW and PO processes
  • Partner with our media agencies and media specialists to track and manage media buys for global campaigns
  • Facilitate the oversight of objectives and deliverables for a variety of marketing programs and campaigns from kick-off to completion
  • Manage external relationships with creative agencies and ensure clear communication and logical processes
  • Work with creative leads to help shepherd the creative process
  • Develop project timelines and delivery dates for mid-to-large scale projects
  • Successfully anticipate project risks and proactively remove roadblocks before they occur
  • Review incoming new project requests and independently scope project milestones, workload and overall effort
  • Ensure efficient workflows and handoffs between cross-functional team members
  • Drive the internal creative review process between cross-functional stakeholders
  • Help maintain processes and proactively look for opportunities to improve day-to-day and long-term planning and workflows
  • Contribute to and help develop the Creative Ops discipline at Slack
  • Be an interdisciplinary liaison between the Creative team and stakeholders both inside and outside of Marketing
  • Partner closely with other Creative team members on end-to-end projects to communicate and ensure clarity on timelines, reviews, and feedback
  • Facilitate retrospective sessions at the end of each project to capture learnings and opportunities for improvement
  • Be a representative and point of contact for the Creative team by evangelizing our mission and explaining processes and ways of working to cross functional partners


What we're looking for:

  • 4-6 years producer experience or project management experience in an agency or in-house creative team
  • Highly organized with experience managing small to medium-sized projects with multiple stakeholders and creative outputs
  • Experience working with global partners and agencies (production, broadcast, creative vendors, and video production)
  • A strong sense of resilience in problem solving and presenting viable solutions in situations with multiple, and sometimes conflicting, perspectives
  • Excellent communication skills with regards to speaking, writing and interpersonal presentations
  • A strong understanding of branding, writing, design and the creative process
  • Experience collaborating with external creative agencies, production partners, and freelancers
  • A strong passion for supporting excellence in craft while balancing stakeholder needs and deadlines.
  • Eagerness to join brainstorms and take part in the creative process
  • Ability to be successful in a fast-paced, and sometimes undefined environment
  • Familiarity with Slack and Asana is a strong plus


For Colorado-based roles: Minimum annual salary of $99,200. You may also be entitled to receive bonus, restricted stock units, and benefits.
