Job Summary
Coordinates all activities for Tina's Treasures. Trains, schedules and supervises Volunteers in the Boutique. Responsible for the Point of Sale system and inventory control with a basic understanding of retail operations and marketing. Serves as a full time Prosthetic Fitter. Creates and revises documents to serve changing hospital and insurance requirements-keeping abreast all current regulations. Assists staff members, volunteers, clients and family members as needed.
  • Full time prosthetic fitter. Advising Clients with current products to fit their needs in the areas of breast prosthesis, mastectomy bras and wigs.
    Works in cooperation with physician offices, insurance companies, and Patient Financial Services to assess insurance coverage for prosthetics and bras to ensure
    Provides education to patients and families related to image and cosmetic changes associated with cancer and its treatment.
    Guides Clients through the services available at the Virginia G. Piper Cancer Center.
  • Maintains accurate inventory. Inputs new items, creating sku's for the register as well as adjusting entry to the inventory control system.
    Maintains the Point of Sale register, serving as liaison with other departments for all problem solving. (IS, Accounting, Payroll, Lymphedema).
    Trains volunteers and staff on use of Point of Sale system
  • Supervises Tina's Treasures volunteer team. Creates monthly calendar to ensure floor coverage. Schedules meetings, develops agenda and all related materials. Tracks that all volunteers are in compliance with regulatory guidelines.
  • Leads in the development, design and review of marketing materials and patient paperwork specific to Tina's Treasures and DME. Participates in Quality Improvement activities for Tina's Treasures. Participates in necessary programs to stay current with changing medical guidelines and accreditations.
  • Reviews and co-signs all non-certified fitters charts for accuracy and thoroughness.
  • Assist Boutique Supervisor with regards to scheduling, supplies and overall budget.
  • Participates in educational programs to stay current on prosthetic products and techniques; maintains any necessary certification and training
  • Serves as the Department Safety Officer.


Associate's Degree or 2 years' work related experience Required

2 years in Oncology nursing or cosmetology/customer service/retail field Required
