Ardent is looking for a Contracts Administrator. This is a remote role.
The Contracts Administrator will assist the Contracts Manager with the processing of contracts and agreements and to ensure efficient, effective, and compliant performance throughout the entire contract lifecycle.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Provides direct contract support to Contracts Manager
- Performs pre-award and post-award contract and subcontract administration
- Assists with the preparation and review of agreements, including NDAs, TAs, contracts, subcontracts, consultant agreements, and purchase orders
- Interfaces with clients, teaming partners, team members and others to ensure requirements are met
- Performs due diligence research for subcontractors, and consultants
- Reviews contract documents and identifies issues for risk mitigation
- Processes new contracts, modifications, subcontracts, and all other tasks in accordance with policies, procedures, and deadlines.
- Reviews and processes subcontractor requests for funding
- Maintains the contracts file repository of contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, and consulting agreements
- Assists with contract reconciliations and closeouts
- Reviews documentation and coordinates for proper signature authority
- Responds to inquiries, provides reports containing all requested contract data, analyzes incoming correspondence for action required, researches and resolves problems related to day-to-day contract administration and associated operational issues
- Other duties may be assigned
Contracts Administrator Qualifications
- Minimum two (2) years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in government contracting
- Business or legal field with specialization preferred

- Effective communicator with strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills necessary for working in a team environment and with external clients.
- Attention to details and ensuring that all work is completed with the highest degree of accuracy, and within deadlines, is critical.
- Experience providing administrative support services to include organizing, prioritizing, and completing multiple tasks in a specified timeframe required.
- Understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS).
- Understanding of Firm Fixed Price (FFP), and Time and Materials (T&M) contract types.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Tools (Word, Excel, SharePoint, Teams).
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently with limited direction.
- Willing to learn new things and take initiative to get results.
- Possess strong research and analysis skills.
