What you’ll be responsible for:

The Compliance Operations team is responsible for executing Circle’s anti-money laundering (AML) and sanctions programs, including know your customer (KYC) reviews, sanctions screening, transaction monitoring, and investigations. Reporting to the Director, Compliance Scaled Services, the Compliance Operations Excellence Manager will be responsible for driving efficiencies across the Compliance Operations function, and working to continuously improve the processes and tools.

What you'll work on:

  • Identifying opportunities to streamline Compliance Operations processes to drive efficiency and accuracy.
  • Owning change management for Compliance Operations functions.
  • Translating compliance requirements into tech requirements, and working closely with Product and Engineering teams to enhance tools.
  • Work with functional leaders to continuously improve processes and procedures to efficiently and effectively manage risk.
  • Architecting processes for new workflows and systems within Compliance Operations.
  • Documenting Compliance Operations process, and updating procedures for all Compliance Operations processes.

What you’ll bring to Circle:

  • 7+ years experience in financial services operations, ideally in compliance, including 1+ years managing people.
  • 3+ years developing and streamlining processes.
  • A passion for harnessing the power of digital currency and blockchain technology and services built on top of it.
  • B.A./B.S. degree.
  • Experience in consulting, RegTech or FinTech companies preferred.
  • Experience and comfort working in an ever changing industry and the flexibility to quickly react to changing demands.
  • Six Sigma certification is a plus.
  • Experience/familiarity with Slack, Apple MacOS and GSuite.
