Compliance Manager
This Compliance Manager would lead a team of compliance analysts to drive compliance initiatives. She/he would be a key member of the Compliance team, which works on ensuring compliance with privacy regulations and industry group standards and guidelines. The compliance manager plays a critical role in ensuring reliability of our compliance program, working with various stakeholders within the organization. This will involve documenting and assessing controls as well as taking a key role in compliance and privacy initiatives.
Reporting position: The Compliance Manager reports to the VP, Global Compliance Officer
What you’ll get to do:
Manage a team of 3 Compliance Analysts including development of compliance training programs to provide ongoing training to compliance personnel
Documenting processes/workflows supporting privacy frameworks to identify gaps and provide process enhancement recommendations.
Driving the development, documentation, and implementation of privacy frameworks in a manner that fulfills the mission and strategic goals of the organization while complying with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and other emerging domestic and global privacy regulations
Lead privacy risk assessments, capturing controls and evaluating design and operating effectiveness
Manage ad hoc requests from the business/client/partners regarding privacy compliance
Manage quality assurance program consisting of internal control assessments against business processes to ensure operational effectiveness and sustainability including partnering with the business to drive the remediation of controls that are not functioning as intended.
Support industry group accreditation/certification audits including remediation of audit findings
Liaise with Security to ensure effective data protection in accordance with privacy regulations
Provide input to Global Compliance officer to update dashboards including key operational metrics determining effectiveness of the Compliance organization
You should apply if you have most of this:
Excellent knowledge of global Data Privacy regulations including the GDPR, CCPA, and other emerging domestic and global privacy regulations
5-8 years of relevant professional experience in a Data Privacy compliance role
Strong project management and collaboration skills with ability to work independently and drive projects to completion
Good written and verbal communication skills
Ability to strengthen privacy compliance coverage across businesses and functions by collaborating on best practices and methodically implementing them
Experience with One Trust Privacy, Security and Governance system tool
Detail oriented, solution-driven, and embraces solving complex problems
