The Red Hat Marketing team is looking for an experienced Communications Operations Coordinator to join us in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you will work as part of a bright internal communications team. From the news of the day to narratives about business priorities and culture, you'll help us keep Red Hatters informed, engaged, inspired, and sometimes entertained, so that they know what's happening around them at Red Hat, why it matters, and how they can contribute. Red Hat has lots of messages to communicate, and it's our job to simplify, unify, and amplify the messages Red Hatters most need to know. As a Communications Operations Coordinator, you will focus on coordinating the timing and details.
What you will do
- Develop and hone the process for discovering and communicating internal-facing news, updates, and stories
- Oversee the intake process for internal communications requests as part of the enterprise communications process
- Facilitate regular meetings of communications strategists to sort, prioritize, and schedule messages for delivery via communications channels, including email, intranet, digital signs, and more
- Manage the internal communications editorial calendar
- Work with communications strategists to develop guidelines and standards that describe each enterprise channel and what type of communication goes into it
- Research and implement new ways to measure impact of communications
- Assist with special projects related to supporting Red Hat's communications channels like the intranet and digital signs
- Use metrics, both quantitative and qualitative, as insight to continuously improve the internal communications process
- Perform other work as assigned
What you will bring
- Experience working in a related field like project management, communications, marketing, or journalism
- Excellent people skills; ability to conduct thoughtful conversations, ask probing questions, and articulate next steps
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, manage time effectively, establish priorities, and communicate expectations to stakeholders
- Global experience (beyond North America) is a plus
