Job Description

  • Lead the product portion of customer engagements to ensure effective positioning of the Commercial Property Underwriting solution’s value proposition and customer understanding of the product capabilities 
  • Manage day-to-day customer engagement activities of the Commercial Property market facing group, including:
  1. Building customer and vendor relationships 
  2. Monitoring and analysis of customer trends,
  3. Utilization analysis of current products,
  4. Segmentation of current and prospective customers,
  5. Own developing and executing strategies for current and prospective customers that allow the company to achieve its objectives, 
  6. Development of pricing proposals and customer presentations,
  7. Identifying product enhancements through voice of the customer outreach, 
  8. Implementing marketing initiatives in support of driving revenue growth within Commercial Property 
  • Liaise between product colleagues, finance, marketing, and sales to ensure streamlined messaging driven by customer needs and how existing and emerging Verisk capabilities can solve these needs 
  • Provide industry thought leadership through white papers, articles, presentations, conferences, and customer conversations 
  • Drive revenue goals for the growth of Commercial Property business 

Qualifications

  • 5+ years commercial insurance underwriting or product management experience in a customer facing role 
  • Quantitative background with a focus on high quality data and analytics 
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills. Ability to communicate effectively (verbally and in writing) with internal staff and external stakeholders 
  • Understands the basics of technology and the convergence of software, and data in support of automated product delivery 
  • Self-starter comfortable digging into the details of a challenging quantitative problem to solve customer needs 
  • Strong critical thinking, analytical problem-solving and negotiating skills; business creativity is a must 
  • Working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint 
  • 30% travel
