The Client Engagement Director is responsible for the management of the account relationship team that supports the firm's national Private Equity clients and select high-priority clients. This position is responsible for leading and growing the Client Engagement Team and oversight of the execution and management of the overall relationship building process. This role will work to align the Client Engagement Team to meet the goals of the firm's strategic account relationship strategy.

Responsibilities:

  • Development of new strategies, techniques, and solutions to optimize the team's activities and success
  • Work with Client Engagement Managers and Analysts to design and develop training agendas, appropriate curriculum, content, and materials.
  • Enable and provide broader support to growth goals and opportunities
  • Ensure that the Team is operating in an efficient manner
  • Manage the execution of the overall account relationship strategy to increase production of the team and build a business pipeline in the market
  • Align to the direction provided by the Account Relationship Leaders, industry/marketing leaders, and sales leaders on the focus and targets of the Client Engagement Managers and Analysts
  • Manage the account penetration strategy and relationships across Private Equity and high priority client companies to build a business pipeline
  • Organize and lead efforts for opportunity management, marketing services and events to increase brand awareness and support business development efforts
  • Measure and report progress against goals to leadership and keep them informed on team status/progress
  • Work with national lead on planning and load bearing prioritization to include CRM generated reporting for key stakeholders
  • Manage project deliverables including planning, organizing, reporting, and controlling resources/processes
  • Manage all Client Engagement Managers and Analysts as well as associated activities:
  • Execution of presentations/demonstrations, account penetration strategy, and building/developing relationships
  • Continually coach, mentor, and develop Client Engagement Managers and Analysts, ensuring improvement and professional success within the firm
  • Collaborate with the team and organizational leaders to identify trends and market opportunities to be exploited by the team
  • Work with firm leadership to support the design, creation and launch of business solutions:
  • Support the business case development by analyzing the business needs, engaging third party vendors as needed, establishing the budget, identifying potential obstacles and options to overcome challenges, etc.
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of the firm's products and solutions
  • Perform other duties as assigned



Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience
  • 6+ years' experience in account management or external sales (required)
  • 2+ years of experience in a management capacity, preferably managing a sales/account management team (required)
  • Working knowledge of Private Equity and/or up-market accounts (required)
  • 2+ years of experience with project management
  • Demonstrated people management experience
  • Ability to assess performance of team members effectively/objectively
  • Ability to communicate expectations clearly, concisely to team members and holds shared accountability for the results
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • CRM experience for sales and/or account management application and requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across different departments to achieve firm goals
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written with diverse audiences
  • Ability to identify, initiate, and nurture new or ongoing business opportunities
  • Project management capabilities
  • Ability to travel (local and overnight when appropriate)
  • Previous professional services industry experience
