Position Overview:
A Client Capacity Planner (CCP) will be accountable to execute the tasks of sourcing and planning loads for the client(s) within their team. A CCP is also responsible for ensuring the day-to-day operational expectations of the client(s) are met. These are including but not limited to problem escalation and resolution, track and trace, load posting, load booking, rolling of loads, monitoring reports, and communicating to clients directly. A CCP is responsible for supporting, creating and sharing best practices with all CCPs within the business unit.
Responsibilities:

  • Utilize internal and external resources to route loads
  • Ensure clear internal visibility
  • Execute the truck matching of loads
  • Ensure load coverage by working with internal business partners
  • Mange the internal and external negotiations of rates with carrier sales reps and carriers
  • Assist in pricing of loads provided by client(s)
  • Improve the businessby maintaining up-to-date knowledge of truckload market (internal to Echo and external) and seasonality
  • Review market research and follow industry trends
  • Take ownership of team metrics and drives strategic account growth
  • Identify problematic trends
  • Be an Echo ambassadorby providing operational support for Client Operations Leads by prioritizing between standard daily duties and ad hoc requests
  • Cultivate strong client relationships
  • Generate innovative ideas to remove operational obstacles and increase team efficiency
  • Focus on the teamby developing and maintaining relationships throughout the Echo


Requirements:

  • 2+ years of industry experience in transportation
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Goal oriented and resilient
  • Ability to follow standard operation procedures with little to no oversight
  • Be a team player and enjoys working in a team environment but complete their own deliverableson a daily basis
  • Reliable and willing to learn


Work environment/physical demands summary:
This job operates in an office environment and uses a computer, telephone and other office equipment as needed to perform duties. The noise level in the work environment is typical of that of an office with an open seating floor plan. The employee may encounter frequent interruptions throughout the work day. The employee is regularly required to sit, talk, or hear.
