Citrix- XenDesktop & XenApp Engineering and Operations Support SME
Job Description/Responsibilities :
- Managing Services of Provisioning servers and DDC servers
- Fully Documented Design and Maintenance procedures for the solution
- Monitoring XenDesktop sessions using Desktop Director
- Address connectivity issues between Citrix clients to XenDesktop machines in coordination with Customer Network team and at times the partner network team
- Create and Manage Vdisk store
- Customize desktop groups based on requirement
- Support for XenDesktop & XenApp Performance issues
- SME has to provide engineer and support both XenApp and XenDesktop. These resources will have deep working knowledge of XenDesktop and XenApp as well as a solid understanding of the underlying infrastructures.
- Profile enhancement configuration for XenDesktop users
- Incident, Problem and Change Management
- Managing Escalations
- Coordinate with Customer team for Application packaging, Patching as per schedule/request
- Perform/ Schedule XenDesktop & XenApp DR test as per Customer DR Strategy.
- Gold image management and optimization for persistent and non-persistent virtual desktops
- Manage the users drive redirection and profile requests using Appsense
- XenDesktop Provisioning / De-provisioning using script built by Customer
- End user communication and co-ordination for XenDesktop provisioning/de-provisioning
- Performance monitoring and reporting XenDesktop, XenApp-Farms, Published Apps, App usage leveraging tools provided by Customer
- Package (App-V and XenApp) troubleshooting/delivery in coordination & join effort with SCCM team
- Make recommendations on enhancements and performance issues and ultimately be responsible for delivering a working services
- Creating knowledge articles for Helpdesk
- Drive the support teams to meet SLA's for infrastructure uptime
- User profile management through Appsense
- Creating and managing XenApp policies
- Configuring & managing privileges in XenApp environment
- Securing XenApp & XenDesktop environment
Configuring & managing Web interface & App Streaming
