Partnering with business leaders, HR, Talent Acquisition, Truist Learning and CIG Talent Development leadership, the Business Optimization Manager for Teammate Onboarding/Development is responsible for deepening the existing Commercial Real Estate educational framework, introducing new ways to elevate teammate engagement, career development and business performance by ensuring teammates have the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform their essential functions with a focus on mitigation of risk to the Bank.

Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.
  • Develop and deploy a multi-year talent strategy and program designed to continually enhance the knowledge and growth of teammates to advance Truist's objectives and values. Transform and manage our internal marketplace for talent by leading strategic initiatives around teammate mobility, engagement, organization culture and career advancement.
  • Lead early talent initiatives in the LOB to include recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training and professional development of all emerging talent (Interns and Analysts).
  • Empower CRE teammates and managers with tools and frameworks they need to be successful in a performance driven culture. Design, develop and deploy LOB-specific Onboarding training programs and continuing education programs for all roles within the LOB.
  • Oversee the recruiting, onboarding and continuing education of all early talent into the LOB to include developing/deploying more broad- based education when systems or procedures change.
  • In partnership with the CIG CRE Division and Team Leads, developing a Best in Class Onboarding program for the key roles in the organization: Credit Delivery (Portfolio Management and Underwriting) and Relationship Management.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or related field, and specific knowledge/experience with supporting educational background, or equivalent education and related training
  • 5 years of related experience
  • Expert knowledge of the business unit and related industry
  • Knowledge or experience in strategic planning/projects/process management
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve desired results
  • Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products
  • Excels in problem-solving, partnership, communications, persuasion, and negotiation

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in Business or related field
  • Working knowledge of bank regulatory framework and business process flows; 5 years in CRE banking organization at a regional or super regional bank
