About the role: 

Limeade is looking for a seasoned leader to join the Product and Technology Team to lead our security team. Reporting to the Chief Product and Technology Officer, the team is responsible for the security across our Limeade products and corporate headquarters and helping turn our security program into a competitive advantage for the business. In addition, you’ll care for people through their career development, nurture team culture, define and guide the company’s security strategy, and closely collaborate with others across the company. 

Responsibilities:

  • Creating, implementing, and maintaining our information security program, strategy, and vision  
  • Evangelizing security to the corporate level, individual contributors, and customers using technical, business, and leadership skills  
  • Understanding and implementing regulatory compliance practices as they relate to security and privacy  
  • Managing third-party technical audits (e.g., SOC 2 Type2, ISO 27001, penetration and vulnerability testing)  
  • Leading IT security policy and procedure creation, implementation, enforcement, and maintenance   
  • Overseeing implementation and operation of dedicated security technology tools 
  • Helping lead the vulnerability management program and work closely with product and technical leaders to prioritize and address any issues identified   
  • Participating in security and data breach incident response leadership, development, and testing  
  • Leading the cross-company Security Steering Committee  
  • Developing a security training program for the Sales team to use to sell Limeade Security  
  • Overseeing team members, completing requests for proposals (RFPs) and meeting potential customers to discuss Limeade security posture and standards  
  • Partnering with the Legal team to review contracts and proposals for security, privacy, and technical requirements  
  • Helping lead the vendor management program as it relates to IT and security controls with efficiency and velocity of partner implementations  
  • Leading and developing a robust, diverse security team; stewarding projects from ideation to completion  

Qualifications

  • Ability to demonstrate our values – Own It, We’re a Team, Listen Well and Speak Plainly, Anything Is Possible, Be The Change - in an ongoing and consistent way 
    Preferably 10-15 years experience leading security teams 
  • Commitment to helping create a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive team and working environment 
  • Able to collaborate cross-functionally and throughout a global company, partnering with teammates of differing levels of technical expertise, including our customers’ Executives and Chief Information Security Officers    
  • Able to drive results in a high-performing and fast-moving environment 
  • Experience as a CISO or Head of Security  
  • Experience with Azure and AWS ecosystems 
  • Experience guiding products, data management, and processes that must meet HIPAA and GDPR standards 
  • Experience with mergers and acquisitions, vetting the security postures of potential acquisitions, and developing the strategy to integrate the security programs post-acquisition
