ABOUT THIS POSITION

The CE Coordinator’s primary responsibility is to oversee the development, documentation, implementation, and financial aspects of accredited continuing education activities for healthcare professionals through AKH Inc., Advancing Knowledge in Healthcare. This position reports to the Sr. Director, Continuing Education & Compliance.

After launching our first mobile app to provide accredited driver's ed courses, Aceable expanded into real estate education and most recently entered into healthcare education. ABOUT THE AKH CONTINUING EDUCATION & COMPLIANCE TEAM

The AKH CE & Compliance Team is a group of project managers, professionals and support staff with a shared mission: to develop and implement high-quality, impactful accredited continuing education (CE) activities for the healthcare team while maintaining the standards of all Accrediting Bodies we are involved with. Accredited CE promotes practice change, thereby optimizing patient outcomes – this concept informs every aspect of our CE activity planning, authoring, implementation, and evaluation. 

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Work in conjunction with a Project Manager/Sr Project Manager on the development of accredited continuing education
  • Correspond with education partners, faculty, and colleagues to ensure the successful completion of all activities
  • Create timelines to meet Project deliverables, outlining clear expectations and deadlines for all stakeholders to ensure successful project completion
  • Recruit/confirm faculty and obtain all necessary documents from faculty (e.g. financial disclosure forms, presentation slides, etc.)
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures for adherence to the defined standards of governing and regulatory bodies
  • Maintain records/data and facilitate reports on accredited CE activities in accordance with established practices
  • Coordinate the design and production of brochures and all course materials with education partners and appropriate colleagues/team members
  • Cultivate collaborative relationships to facilitate the implementation of successful strategic partnerships
  • When applicable, coordinate the solicitation, formal contracting, and program reconciliations associated with educational grant/commercial support
  • When applicable, attend programs in the capacity of faculty contact or as an on-site coordinator as needed
  • Complete tasks independently with some ambiguity
  • Prioritizes work effectively
  • Ensure successful completion and closure of programs, to include accreditation documentation
  • Remain current on ACCME Standards for Integrity and Independence in Accredited Continuing Education, as well other applicable rules and regulations of accrediting bodies (Joint Accreditation, FDA, Etc.)
  • Other duties as assigned 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

  •     Three years’ experience in accredited continuing education for professionals
  •     Working knowledge of accredited CE requirements, such as ACCME, ACPE, ANCC, and FDA regulations. Experience with Joint Accreditation a plus.
  •     Possess a background in the healthcare field of CE
  •     Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs
  •     Capable of administering multiple tasks concurrently and staying on top of project deadlines and deliverables
  •     Exceptionally strong organizational skills
  •     Excellent written and oral communication skills
  •     Able to work with tight deadlines and multi-task many projects at different stages of development through completion in an organized manner
  •     Experience with:

      Goal-oriented project management

      Developing and maintaining client relationships

      Interacting with funding agencies and professional groups
