Lead, oversee, and direct strategy and product delivery of credit and debit products and their ancillary services. Responsible for managing vendor relationships with card networks and card processing partners.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Direct electronic services applications such as credit cards, debit cards, card services, transfer services, payment services, bill payer, and shared branching. This includes strategic and tactical business planning, product development, product and service enhancements, market and competitive analysis, and delivery of member experience.
  • Develop strategies, policies, plans and budgets that support the Credit Union's business objectives and evaluates progress on a regular basis. Proactively keeps Vice President informed and removes obstacles that prevent the department from reaching business goals and objectives.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in the design and implementation of acquisition, utilization and retention strategies. This involves providing strategic direction and alignment with overall business goals, preparing the business case, as well as setting and measuring program/campaign success metrics and objectives.
  • Oversee operations for service quality, ensuring all electronic services are delivered within established quality standards.
  • Oversee and administer Advancial Rewards program. Strategize and execute initiatives to increase cardholder engagement and manage cost per point. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to market the program to cardholders to drive spend loyalty and cardholder engagement. Create program performance metrics and ongoing reporting to measure program effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement. Serve as main point of contact with loyalty program provider for ongoing vendor management including but not limited to day-to-day vendor issues and performance standards, implementation of program enhancements, and contract negotiations and due diligence.
  • Maintain knowledge of emerging card and payment industry trends. Monitor and analyzes competitive market trends affecting area of responsibility including, but not limited to, product offerings and specials; recommends appropriate action. Build strategies to combat competitive threats and increase share of wallet.
  • Manage workflow and scheduling in order to meet processing deadlines and optimize funds availability in order to meet member and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee the processing of automatic clearing house (ACH), credit and debit cards, payments, transfers, bill payer, and shared branching exception reports to ensure accurately and timely resolution. Analyzes productivity and transaction trends using Credit Union reports and makes recommendations to improve performance.
  • Develop procedures and reporting tools for effective information and decision-making; analyzes productivity and transaction trends using reports. Ensures policy and procedures are maintained and updated as needed.
  • Oversee compliance with network reporting requirements on a daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Collaborate with the Audit Department and ensure necessary information is provided for internal and external audits, regulatory monitoring, and all other required reporting.
  • Provide leadership to the department and establishes programs to support, mentor and develop employees. In Collaboration with HR, hires, coaches, evaluates and disciplines staff. Directs employee training to improve efficiency and ensure conformance with standard procedures and practices. Delegates duties to maximize member service.
  • Manage vendor relationships with business partners and service providers to assure their performance meets Credit Union service expectations and supports strategic goals. Ensure vendors are paid in accordance to contract terms and accounts are balanced and reconciled to appropriate general ledgers on a weekly and monthly basis.
The salary for this range is $83,000-$104,000/yr. and based on experience.


Bachelor degree or equivalent from four-year college or university; seven years related experience including three years supervisory experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
