Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Develops coordinated long-range plans in accordance with company policy and objectives and DOE's present and future requirements.
  • Develops and implements programs to give the company opportunities to meet its contractual work requirements in an efficient, economic manner.
  • Lead continuous improvement activities, including supporting "Must Do" activities using ARM as mechanism for tracking and maintaining of RAIL actions.
  • Align projects with the "Must-Do" activities, when possible
  • Support facilitation needs for Lean Education, deployment of ION tools, ION Integrator maturity and future programs.
  • Work with the team to identify, prioritize and execute continuous improvement projects. Flex to align with highest priorities.
  • Plans, schedules, assigns, directs, and coordinates activities which include programs, cost estimating, cyber security, finance, human resources, information technology, labor and employee relations, nuclear testing archive, organizational learning and outreach, prime contract management, requirements, records and requirements, and training.
  • Works with customers and DOE to evaluate the most effective schedules and methods to perform planning work
  • Designs, evaluates, and recommends organizational changes to improve the efficiency of operations
  • Gathers and organizes information on program or plan problems or procedures
  • Analyzes data gathered and develops solutions or alternative methods of proceeding
  • Plans study of work problems and procedures, such as organizational change, communications, information flow, integrated production methods, or inventory control.



Qualifications

Due to the nature of our work, US Citizenship is required for all positions.

  • Bachelor's degree in related field and at least 12 years of professional level experience or equivalent training and experience
  • Experience with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Experience with leading continuous improvement teams and projects.
  • Knowledge of Gemba, 5S and Gaffney.
  • Ability to utilize independent judgment, creativity, and initiative to resolve problems and ensure that requirements are completed efficiently, on time and are cost-effective.
  • Ability to prioritize and schedule multiple activities of the division.
  • Ability to communicate with all types of people in a tactful, professional, influencing, motivating, and effective manner while screening and maintaining confidentiality.
  • Able to understand and remember complex data, policies, procedures, laws, regulations, terminology, schedules, personnel, and other details.
  • Able to deal with pressure of handling multiple tasks, complaints, frequent interruptions, and time constraints.
  • Able to read/write/speak English.
  • Knowledge of basic math, grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
  • Familiar with software applications used in the position.
  • The primary work location will be at the Losee Road facility in North Las Vegas, Nevada.
  • Work schedule for this position will be 4/10's, Monday - Thursday (subject to change).
  • Pre-placement physical examination, which includes a drug screen, is required. MSTS maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.
