The Business Readiness Manager is accountable for preparing the organization to efficiently deploy, operate, and maintain systems and procedures following transformation initiatives. The Readiness Manager works closely with colleagues across Operations, Information Technology and Business Unit teams to ensure that readiness plans are thoughtfully developed, aligned with the Business Transformation Office (BTO) strategy, and executed according to scope, milestones and deliverables. The individual will be a seasoned readiness leader with experience in leading long-term, cross-functional initiatives within health care that have significant technology and operations components as well as a transformative effect on the business. This manager will work closely with management across the company to plan and monitor readiness activities and will need to influence decisions affecting the various programs. In addition, this manager will prepare and share updates and recommendations to the Executive Steering Committee as required. This manager will effectively interact with all levels of staff, functional leaders and senior executives.

This position will indirectly lead multiple readiness work streams and functional plans. This position reports to the Sr. Director of Business Transformation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 8 years project management with 5 years working matrixed projects across an organization


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop cross-functional project plans to coordinate critical activities and deadlines across multiple teams within Operations
  • Primary liaison between the Business Transformation Office (BTO) & Operations
  • Ensure Operations team as the right staffing, system access, and SOP's in place prior to determined deadlines
  • Partner with multiple stakeholders across Operations and BTO teams to achieve the goals within Operations


Skills Required

  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborative effectively across all levels of the business
  • Preferred knowledge of Health Plan Operations: Health claim life-cycle, membership, billing, and customer service operations as well as product line experience with Commercial, Individual, Medicare and or Medicaid preferred
  • Project Management and Process Mapping skills
  • Experience within Operations
  • Ability to relate well at all level of the organization, build rapport, credibility and influence while maintaining collaboration relationships
  • Considerable skills in process improvement, business transformation, communication, leadership, problem solving and team building
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into measurable action and present projects for evaluation and prioritization
  • Ability to present complex processes in easy to understand terms to various cross functional stakeholders to receive approval and prioritization
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects, both large and small
