BUSINESS OPERATIONS MANAGER, DATA PRIVACY & PROTECTION
Business Operations Managers manage overall projects and client engagements. They support our clients' business processes and operations activities and ensure productivity and profitability.
Responsibilities:
- Operate as a SME / Advisor to the teams with respect to privacy laws, frameworks, best practices, privacy tech implementation, etc. Deep expert in data privacy and protection - should have working knowledge of the current key data privacy regulations such as GDPR, CCPA/CPRA etc
- Work to align advanced technologies and Privacy by Design principles from the first stages of development and ensure that the data use meets established regulatory compliance needs
- Analyze, design and implement tech enhancements for data processing applications to help mitigate privacy vulnerabilities and prevent potential future privacy risks
- Identify/ design innovative ways to protect and secure Patient and Real World data, and guide engineering teams during product/application development
- Lead major process enablement and re-engineering initiatives
- Motivate, coach and serve as a role model for project team members
- Own responsibility for work product quality and relevance to client decisions
- Update senior leaders and prepare and present the majority of client presentations
- Establish or maintain ongoing client relationships with key decision makers that drive new business development
- Provide thought leadership and innovation within projects and across practice areas
- Support development of firm capabilities and offerings (recruitment, training, internal initiatives)
Qualifications:
- BS/ MS or BE/BTech/MTech degree in computer science/ engineering, information technology, information systems, privacy engineering or related field of study
- Privacy certification such as CIPP-E, CIPT, CIPM or equivalent.
- Approximately 6-8+ years of prior management consulting experience, preferably in the healthcare/pharmaceutical industry
- Experience in privacy solutions in the Patient or Real World Data domain preferred
- Deep Expertise and experience in PETs (Privacy Enhancing Technologies) preferred
- Understanding of data management, transformation and software applications design
- Record of successful and continued business development
- Prior experience in managing projects and leading or contributing to global and multi-functional teams
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in oral and written form
- Strong decision-making skills and the ability to influence others
- Analytic problem-solving skills, with an ability both to see the big picture and delve into details
- Excellent organization & planning skills
ZS is a global consulting firm. Fluency in English is required; additional fluency in at least one European or Asian language is desirable.
