Business Operations Analyst

What does a great Business Operations Analyst do?

As a Business Operations Analyst, you will be part of a dedicated and essential team delivering production support to Issuer Dispute Operations and to Fiserv clients' card portfolio chargeback programs.

You will have ownership of important internal business processes, which includes coordination of intake and the timely delivery of data and reports. You will be responsible for effectively resolving issues, incidents, and inquiries. You are a key contributor who will lead initiatives to meet the needs of Issuer Dispute Operations and our clients. You will be driving organizational improvement and client satisfaction by identifying enhancement opportunities and managing these to successful implementation.

This role is highly visible and you will collaborate with multiple teams and subject matter experts throughout Fiserv. You will also liaison with external parties including vendor and network partners and with clients.

Responsibilities• Manage and execute recurring processes required to support Issuer Dispute Operations• Respond to inquiries from internal and external stakeholders regarding operational and network requirements; system processing and functionality; dispute lifecycle; and system, project or issue status• Identify opportunities to implement effective changes for Issuer Dispute Operations as part of our continuous efforts to improve processes• Provide service support to both internal and external clients and be a primary liaison between Issuer Dispute Operations and internal and external stakeholders.• Have Operations service issue accountability, including communication center notification, Service Center work item tracking, monitoring liability issues and escalation to management when appropriate.• Control liability exposure, interpret and communicate industry standards and update internal systems.• Recognize trends related to Incidents and recommend viable solutions to prevent future occurrences, collaborating with multiple divisions throughout the firm to drive a reduction in client-impacting incidents.

Basic Qualifications• High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in business or a related field is preferred.• 3+ years of experience in the Financial Services Industry• 2+ years of experience in business and project management is preferred.• Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint)• Ability to perform research, gathering data and finding patterns• Must have analytical, problem solving, team building, and change management skills• Excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, organizational, collaboration, and trouble-shooting skills• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and solve problems• The ability to travel as required.

Preferred Qualifications• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills• Demonstrated success in effectively driving delivery• Effective communication skills (written and verbal)• Ability to work in a collaborative team environment• Experience with Dispute lifecycles and processing• Knowledge of Visa and/or Mastercard operating regulations• Knowledge of SQL syntax and querying• Experience leading conversations (verbal and written) with clients and other stakeholders• Excellent presentation, interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to a diverse audience• Solid ability to understand sophisticated business and technical concepts and make balanced judgments when faced with trade-offs• A high degree of adaptability and flexibility to excel in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
