About This Position

The GDEO General Manager role is an extension of the GDEO Leadership team, partnering with the Head of Global Distribution and Operations. The incumbent will be assigned to one or more GDEO functions as well driving execution of strategic initiatives and key business processes. The incumbent will influence and drive business outcomes, as well as serve as a trusted, empowered surrogate for the Head of GDEO.

The position will be called upon to lead and manage, semi-autonomously, cross-functional/segment projects as defined in the overall GDEO strategic business and annual operating plans. The GM will also be responsible for directly shaping substance, areas of focus, and managing the forums within GDEO and our partners.

The incumbent will engage with key shared service business partners in a highly collaborative environment to execute initiatives and critical business processes, requiring strong working relationships and the ability to influence associates and senior leaders across the enterprise. The GDEO GM will shape and advance our stakeholder engagement efforts to holistically represent the work and needs of client business partners.

Role Summary

Implements and drives business objectives and strategies and supports departmental priorities. Provides Head of GDEO and Leadership Team with relevant and current information that increases transparency into their knowledge of GDEO objectives, key priorities, the status of initiatives, and how business efforts are performing and aligning with current strategies. Responsible for leading one or more projects within GDEO, including budget, scope, timelines, and status reporting and for directing resource allocation in the support of long-term projections

Responsibilities

  • Drive holistic business outcomes across the organization by consulting with, influencing and supporting the Head of GDEO through regular meeting cadences, ad hoc project requests, creation of presentations, working across GDEO teams, and proactively offering recommendations and action plans to align with key business priorities.
  • Work closely with the GDEO Lead Team to collect key priority updates and statuses, effectively communicating high level summaries to senior management and advise on action steps to take in response to the results.
  • Partner with client stakeholders to elevate GDEO's programmatic engagement with client stakeholders to better service their distribution needs, increasing efficacy, engagement, and overall value to the Enterprise.
  • Ensure GDEO-wide reviews, deadlines, and deliverables are met in a timely manner to support and enable key processes including segment governance, strategic and resource plans, business presentations to BU LTs, monthly and quarterly Finance reviews, ensuring expense discipline.
  • Act as executive sponsor of expanded associate training programs, specifically within the Analytics function, driving engagement, impact and mastery of GDEO owned capabilities.
  • Partner with BCMA team to expand points of leverage in GDEO around quarterly and annual planning. Leverage GDEO capabilities such as developing a broader strategy for how to leverage BCMA across the enterprise in partnership with the BCMA team and GDEO LT members.
  • Lead GDEO and the three different global recruiting teams who support us in our hiring, allowing for focused execution and ultimately greater impact for the business and manage GDEO retention efforts anchored on stay dialogue with diverse talent
  • Actively shape Leadership Forum agendas across the year in addition to week-to-week business topics, long term intersections and business realization, keeping talent and resources front and center.
  • Influence business lead partners to adopt proposed changes to processes, data flows, or allocations and provide input to the internal communications strategy at the team level and within a larger business unit.
  • Represent GDEO with enterprise stakeholders as required on miscellaneous meetings, committees, projects and communications, serving as primary point of contact for strategic Enterprise programs and projects representing GDEO business needs



Typical Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience AND
  • 8+ years of total relevant work experience



FINRA licenses are not required and will not be supported for this role
