Business Management Associate
OVERVIEW
The Business Management Associate (BMA) is an entry-level management position designed to develop the future leaders of General Mills. This role provides you with the foundational knowledge needed to successfully start your career with training, exposure to the business, work/life flexibility, individual feedback sessions and a clear career path with defined key experiences needed to continue your advancement. As a result, tremendous opportunity exists for the individual who has the desire and ability to excel in the area of Sales Management as well as the willingness to relocate to advance their career.
LOCATIONWe have multiple Business Management Associate openings across the Morning Foods, Meals & Baking Solutions, and Snacks Operating Units (OUs), as well as within Central Sales in North American Retail (NAR) East/West & our Omnichannel Center of Excellence. These openings are spread across Minneapolis, and the following business centers:
- Eastern (Philadelphia, PA)
- Kroger (Cincinnati, OH)
- Walmart (Rogers, AR)
- GMI World Headquarters (Minneapolis, MN)
Preferences for OU and business center locations will be taken during the hiring process.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Your career will be built through a variety of different roles and assignments, each designed to build the depth and breadth needed to transform into a future Sales leader for General Mills.
- Selling and Influencing: Develop foundational selling skills and product knowledge through a structured curriculum and immersive field experiences.
- Business Analytics/Problem Solving: Understand and utilize business dynamics and analytical tools available to provide solution-based insights to influence decision-makers.
- Sales Support: Leverage understanding of customer needs and business analytics to inform strategy development. Partner with field sales to develop an understanding of customer needs, including analysis and recommendations to drive business performance.
- Relationship Building: Opportunity to build internal and external relationships through cross-functional projects, trade shows, mentorships, and diversity organizations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Passion to sell/represent General Mills and our top consumer food brands
- Bachelor's Degree Required
- Demonstrated leadership, teamwork experience
- Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
- US work authorization/Must have a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record/Position may require you to drive up to 15+ hrs/wk
- Mobility and flexibility (willingness to relocate) to our World Headquarters in Minneapolis, MN; or designated field/business center locations listed above
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications and Liberal Arts preferred
