WHY BOX NEEDS YOU
In the role of Business Continuity & Crisis Manager, we're looking for someone to scale and enhance our program to build resiliency at Box. Falling under Box's wider Enterprise Risk and Resiliency team, this role requires an understanding of crisis and business continuity methodologies in the tech/SaaS space. You will work with all functions of this fast-paced, rapidly changing business, and directly with key stakeholders to drive continuous improvement. This includes creating BC and Crisis governance, responding to incidents, facilitating crisis exercises, creating reports, and working closely with a wide range of internal departments on projects.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Own the strategic vision and tactical execution of the Crisis program
Co-own the strategic vision and tactical execution of the BC program
Lead crisis assessments and Crisis team response
Build out efficient and scalable templates, systems, run books, and program metrics
Provide oversight, conduct debriefs, and document the results of crises to identify necessary enhancements to plans and procedures
Maintain and grow Box's BC and Crisis programs by providing trainings and awareness campaigns
Facilitate and assist plan owners in the development and on-going maintenance of BIAs, BC plans, and BC exercises
Create frameworks to build program consistency and improve resources for partner Resiliency-adjacent teams
Assist with other activities as required to develop and maintain the Resiliency Program
Assists in assessing business continuity risk to the Box and provides recommendations to mitigate risk and implements solutions as directed by senior management
Provide general Compliance and audit support to other Box teams and customers
WHO YOU ARE
3+ years experience in Crisis Management at a technology company
3+ years experience in Business Continuity Management
SaaS experience a plus
Cross-functional program management experience
Comfortable delivering sensitive information to executives where needed
Ability to take ownership of ever-evolving situations and drive towards impactful outcomes
Certification from DRII or BCI or similar a plus
Ability to influence and build relationships with a variety of stakeholders
Experience with BCM software and tools (Fusion Framework, Archer etc.)
Team player and relationship builder
Willingness and flexibility to wear different hats and work on different areas where needed
Good organizational skills
Strong written, verbal communication, and presentation skills
