Coinbase is seeking a motivated Business Continuity and Resilience Manager to oversee the global business continuity program. The Manager will develop, implement, and execute business continuity strategies while ensuring Coinbase has the necessary governance, policies, and processes to drive business resiliency at scale.

What you’ll be doing (ie. job duties):

  • Create and maintain business impact assessments and plan/run continuity/crisis exercises
  • Create, implement, and maintain BCPs and associated resilience governance documents 
  • Own process-based remediation items identified in risk registers and exercises
  • Identify critical systems/operations to maintain business operations during a continuity event 
  • Design and conduct continuity and crisis team trainings 
  • Crisis assessments and facilitating crisis team response 
  • Create reports as needed for different levels of leadership, covering all aspects of resilience 
  • Customize and build project management/BCM tools to scale the program
  • Maintain compliance with all standards, regulations, and requirements

What we look for in you (ie. job requirements):

  • Minimum 7-10 years in business continuity, disaster recovery, or related crisis/risk management 
  • Strong technical ability to learn about products and create plans to support them 
  • Experience with operational and compliance business continuity program management, including qualitative/quantitative assessment and risk mitigation 
  • Understanding of resilience strategies for remote workforce cloud environments and SaaS/IaaS 
  • Ability to perform under pressure during business continuity events, escalations and crises 
  • Experience building efficient scalable templates, systems, processes, runbooks and metrics
  • Knowledge of standards (ISO 22301), global regulatory requirements and continuity trends
  • Proficiency using BCM tools (Fusion, Archer etc.)
  • Strong communication/presentation skills to communicate with range of stakeholders 
  • Willingness to wear multiple hats and work across resilience where needed 
  • Comfortable working in a fast paced environment, while still meeting deadlines

Nice to haves:

  • Disaster Recovery experience 
  • Geopolitical experience 
  • Business Continuity Certification (CBCP, MBCP, BCCE, etc.)
  • Experience with quantitative risk frameworks
  • Data visualization/dashboard skill set
  • Prior experience in finance, tech or consulting 
  • Interest/experience in Crypto/DeFi

Notice for Colorado applicants as required by sb19-085 (8-5-20). Target annual salary for this role performed in Colorado, is either $162,350 or $188,275 + target bonus + target equity + benefits (including medical, dental, vision and 401(k)).
