On Boarding Specialist II –Security Monitoring Service Facilitator
Overview
The On Boarding Specialist II –Security Monitoring Service Facilitator Interfaces with Field and Operations teams to ensure customer Remote Security Update Services are deployed efficiently and accurately. The On Boarding Specialist I will receive on boarding requests and document their status in Smartclient and/or Remedy systems. Each team member is responsible for case management of the on boarding cases they own.
Specific Responsibilities of On Boarding Specialist II
- Update cases owned every 7 days
- Gather data required to complete the On Boarding Process.
- Interact with the field to resolve issues related to On Boarding projects
- Monitor notifications generated by Greenfield contract system and react accordingly to meet on boarding goals.
- Coordinate with North American Service Support organization to approve customer contracts to effect revenue realization as scheduled.
- Escalate issues as required to overcome process delays.
- Answer incoming MERX calls to the On Boarding intake 800 number.
- Perform required technical configuration tasks related to Security Monitoring, including:
-Syslog Verification
-Verify if Syslog exists
-IDS Verification
-Verify if IDS exists
-Firewall Modifications
-Set logging to Syslog to CSMS
-Verify rules are in place to allow Security Monitoring Services
-McAfee Modifications
-Enable updates to include Motorola's updates
-Set up task to pull updates from Motorola
-Disable Motorola updates from client package
-Configure packages to be updated
-Modify auto responses to report events on interest
-Upload connectors and parsers to CSMS, DC, Syslog (if applicable)
-Open C3 ticket with SDO for installation
-After installation is done verify data
-Apply event filters
-Apply connector parsers
-Apply connector filters
Additional Responsibilities
- Knowledge and/or experience with security software installation and configuration.
- A familiarity with basic IP configuration/functionality (A+ certification, at a minimum) is required.
- Complete additional tasks related to customer service support and deployment as designated by management.
Hours of Work
- Usual schedule is day shift, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
Physical Requirements
- On Boarding Specialist II job requirements do not include any heavy physical lifting.
- The job does require maintaining a stationary position (seated or standing, as the employee prefers) for the majority of the work day.
- Extensive computer usage, reading and entering data from monitor.
Basic Requirements
Associate Degree of equivalent experience.
1+ years of experience in project management or IT.
Understanding of standard computer based tools - Microsoft office, etc.
