Job Description:
Global Risk Analytics (GRA) Technology group within Bank of America is looking for a talented Feature Lead/Application Manager to join our growing team, which is supporting and developing a model execution and data management framework, which handles large data volumes and analytic workloads.
The Feature Lead will effectively lead teams whose responsibilities include application management, support, DevOps and BAU development. The ideal candidate would be someone with a combination of data and development skills, who can understand the complex nature of model risk systems. This individual will handle issues and coordinate with other teams across the enterprise.
Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead and work with other members of an Agile team, focused on support and associated development of the application.
  • Perform some analysis in support of BAU development, test, and production activities.
  • Work with line of business analysts and quants to understand/capture new requirements, and to conduct user acceptance testing.
  • Manage governance/compliance related activities, as well as server management for the application, and conduct the annual business continuity / disaster recovery exercise.
  • Support CCAR Cycle /Monthly Cycle Runs and work with GRA Business Partners.
  • Coordinate Dev-Ops team on releasing items into production and for oversight of non-production environments.


Required Skills:

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of IT experience, combination of application support, development, and release
  • Big data (e.g., Hadoop, Teradata, Netezza) development experience and demonstrate SQL / technical skills.
  • Python or Java development
  • Basic Unix OS skills and Shell scripting
  • Agile methodology, JIRA or alternative


Desired Skills:

  • Has understanding of risk (retail bank risk, credit risk, or market risk) and/or financial theory
  • ETL experience
  • Experience with BIG DATA source control management (e.g., Bitbucket) or job scheduling (e.g., AutoSys)
  • Prior work with data scientists or analytical business users will be beneficial

Pay and benefits information
Jersey City pay range:
$98,000 - $155,000 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.
Discretionary incentive eligible
This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan.
