Job Summary
The Benefits & Compliance Administrator position is responsible for administering the day-to-day operations of group benefits programs (health, dental, vision, life insurance, flexible spending plan, retirement plans, COBRA, etc.). It will also be the responsibility of this position to research, support and deliver on compliance-oriented activities in the benefits space. The Administrator continually investigates new benefits programs, improves existing programs, monitors benefits administration and will support implementation, communication and compliance activities. This position is expected to provide exemplary customer service for all internal and external clients.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serves as a subject matter expert for Paycor's benefits programs.
  • Assess current benefit trends, complete benefits surveys and review information obtained from the results. Analyze complex benefits information. Forecast needs and trends to assist with future benefits designs. Develop specific recommendations for review.
  • In collaboration with plan vendors, responsible for the day-to-day administration of various employee benefits programs, such as group medical, dental and vision, accident and disability, life insurance, 401(k), and wellness benefits, including approval of Life Events, COBRA reimbursements, vendor discrepancy reports, and life insurance claims.
  • Support ongoing implementations and communication of various benefits programs.
  • In partnership with Manager, Benefits & Wellbeing, monitors state and federal regulatory changes within the benefits space and partners with appropriate resources to ensure Paycor's compliance. Ensure timeliness and accuracy of required reporting and any associated fees.
  • Perform and support plan audits by preparing, collecting, organizing, and submitting data for actuarial and regulatory assessments.
  • Acts as a point of contact for plan vendors, consultants, and other benefits partners.
  • Evaluates and documents internal processes to increase efficiencies for our Paycor Associates.
  • Coordinates responses and benefits processing for escalated questions.
  • Monitor administrative costs of benefits programs and recommend cost containment strategies, including alternative methods for administration and funding. Prepare budgetary recommendations and assist in the monitoring, verifying, and reconciling of budgeted funds.
  • Provide customer service support to internal and external customers. Develop communication tools to enhance understanding of the company's benefits package.
  • Act as subject matter expert on the Annual Enrollment process including identifying recommendations, participate in potential requests for proposals, implementation of any new programs, design and distribution of communications, addressing Associate questions.
  • Produces reporting metrics and analytics regarding Associate benefits programs and assists with special projects and analysis.
  • May provide back-up support for the leave and disability program.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.


Requirements
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3-5 years' experience in Human Resources ideally in a benefits capacity
  • Knowledge of ERISA, Workers Compensation, COBRA, FLSA, and other employment related laws
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated strength in HRIS systems and MS Office applications
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and database fundamentals
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment in which multi-tasking is often required
