As an Associate, you will:


  • Develop expertise in multiple functional areas through 12-18 month rotations. For example, your rotations might include customer success, product marketing, public relations, product management, design, engineering, sales, financial planning & analysis, operations, or business intelligence. Following your rotation, you can progress within that department or transition to another team.
  • Learn our business, including the legal industry and legal technology, as well as how different functions work together to drive a high-growth tech company.
  • Make an impact on core strategic initiatives. For example, you might help launch a new product or geography, develop a new approach to revenue forecasting, experiment with a new marketing program or lead generation strategy, or help assess a potential acquisition.
  • Gain exposure to senior leaders who can help you navigate your career after your Associate rotations, whether that is through a long-term career at DISCO or through our alumni path to another company.

Our Associate program is a rare opportunity to accelerate your career by learning how a high-growth tech company operates, build a resume that demonstrates your ability to make an impact across multiple business functions, and find your fit by rotating through different roles and teams. 

Successful Associates can continue to full-time placements at DISCO,  elect for outplacement at other companies in the legal or technology industries, or return for a graduate degree in law, business or another field.

Who you are

  • Bachelor’s degree from a leading university with > 3.5 GPA.
  • 2-5 years of work experience, preferably in tech, banking, management consulting, law, or government. 
  • Fast moving and adaptable - able to thrive in a high-growth, startup environment where what you’re doing and who you’re working with change quickly. Comfortable with ambiguity, you possess a high degree of ‘figure-it-out-ability.’
  • Innovative - able to invent new ways of solving business problems, experiment and measure effectiveness, and quickly iterate.
  • Effective Communicator - excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Analytical - you are comfortable with numbers and good at breaking down complex problems and systems to understand what makes them work.
  • Leader - demonstrated track record of leadership in student organizations, athletics, or elsewhere; you inspire people to work with you to achieve great things.
