Associate Vendor Performance Manager
Our Opportunity:
Chewy is looking for self-starting and driven Associate Vendor Performance Manager – Drop Ship to join the Supply Chain team in Dania Beach, FL. The ideal candidate will be customer obsessed, collaborative, comfortable with ambiguity, and possess a track record of delivery through stakeholder influence and strong vendor management skills. Responsibilities include cross-functional coordination to onboard new vendors and ensure they are successful, identifying and analyzing non-compliant vendor issues and work with vendors to reduce operational defects. This individual must be highly motivated, team focused, organized, detail oriented, and must possess solid analytical, problem-solving and interpersonal skills. You will have a chance to learn all aspects of Supply Chain Operations, including Inventory Management, Fulfillment, and Warehousing. You will get to work side by side with smart, passionate, and highly motivated entrepreneurs. This role will have a significant impact on the customer and business, and the right candidate will need to be ready to deliver from day one.
What You'll Do:
- Develop a deep understanding of Drop Ship and Supply Chain ecosystem & business model
- Build solid relationships with vendors and collaborate to improve their operational performance
- Drive analytical projects to completion with minimal direction; possess an intense analytical ability, attention to detail and ability to deep-dive when necessary
- Work cross functionally with groups company-wide, including Category Management, Purchasing and Technology to improve the Drop Ship program
- Effectively manage multiple time-sensitive projects and competing priorities while maintaining strong associate engagement
- Be able to understand a complex system and explain it in simple, but concise terms to a broader group
- Create clean and compelling visual reporting and graphical depictions of data that shows performance trends and improvements to senior leadership
- Travel to vendor warehouses to view their operations firsthand and drive vendor adoption of key tools and technology
What You'll Need:
- Bachelor's degree in Business or Supply Chain
- 4+ years of e-commerce, retail merchandising or management consulting experience
- Proficient with SQL, Tableau and Microsoft Office suite specifically Excel
- Startup mentality: scrappy, creative, and constantly iterating to be best-in-class.
- Track record of successful negotiation, relationship management, and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability of taking ownership and driving results both independently and as part of a team
- Exceptional analytical, quantitative, and critical thinking skills
- Position requires some travel
