Associate Specialist, Information Security Rotation Program (Remote)
About the Role:
The Associate Specialist, Information Security is charged with assisting the development and maintenance of CrowdStrike’s Information Security Program by;
Supporting auditing and compliance functions in relation to CrowdStrike’s products and internal operational policies and procedures.
Supporting the Incident Response functions in performing tasks related to the Incident Response Lifecycle via triage and investigation of detections and take appropriate action.
Supporting Security Architecture functions performing administration duties within the architecture tooling infrastructure and coordinating with IT and business users to ensure a highly secure operation.
Contributing to strategies, methodologies, communications campaigns, and training plans to raise the awareness of cybersecurity at CrowdStrike.
Contributing to the entire lifecycle of vulnerabilities from discovery, triage, advising, remediation, and validation and then working with vulnerability related tickets to ensure issues are remediated within proper timelines.
Being continuously on the lookout for innovative and flexible ways to automate GRC and Security Awareness processes that support a fast-paced, secure, empowered, AND FUN work environment.
Other related tasks as assigned.
This is an exciting opportunity for candidates interested in jumpstarting their career in Information Security. This is a 12-month rotational program with four 3-month rotations designed to maximize exposure and training in key areas within the following teams:
Vulnerability Management & Red Team
Risk Management & Compliance
Security Architecture & Engineering
Incident Response
What You'll Need:
Relevant work experience in Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related field, or related certificate, or degree.
Basic experience in typical office applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, etc., or equivalent such as Google Suite.
Technical understanding, at a basic level of key technologies such as operating systems, networks, application development, databases, virtualization, and cloud infrastructures
Some practical experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, Python, Golang, or other programming languages.
Open to working with technical subject matter experts and translating that information to non-technical employees and stakeholders.
Bonus Points
Experience in music and video production.
Project management experience in scoping, work break-down, critical path analysis, resourcing, managing time estimates, project risks, and quality.
Experience in data science and machine learning using Python, Pandas, Matplotlib, git, and other development languages, tools, and workflows.
