About this Job:

As an Associate R&D Chef, Commercialization, you will be responsible for ensuring only the highest quality food leaves our kitchen. Working mostly in our production facility, you will help with recipe testing and commercialization, support training the front-line team, and help with auditing production lines to ensure quality standards are met. You will play a key role in ensuring that our customers receive the highest quality meals so they can eat happier. Sitting on the Menu Development (Commercialization) Team, you will monitor our quality standards and provide quality assurance support.

As an Associate R&D Chef, Commercialization, you will:

  • Execute commercialization activities including, but not limited to, yield measurements, portion tool validation, assembly labor trials
  • Work with our Production team to determine the process flows for new ingredients and subrecipes through processing and assembly rooms
  • Respond to manufacturing issues as they arise and implement appropriate solutions.
  • Perform daily audits of our processing & assembly rooms including, but not limited to: weight checking, assembly line audits, daily taste testing, monitoring ingredients for quality
  • Work closely with Production and Quality/Food Safety teams to verify food is manufactured to specifications, monitor and escalate issues to our Menu Team
  • Support cost reduction efforts by investigating high waste processes, understanding root causes, and proposing process improvements 
  • Provide production team coverage in processing or assembly, when needed

What Your Background May Look Like:

  • A minimum of 1-2 years’ in a food industry (restaurant, catering, recipe development, manufacturing)
  • Proficiency in Google Suite (Sheets, Docs,  Slides)
  • Effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing
  • Must have effective attention-to-detail and a keen eye for accuracy.
  • Must have a passion for food, and a hunger to learn and grow in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment
