Job Summary:
The primary purpose of this role is to complete key tactical activities in support the successful delivery of information security tools and processes. This includes contributing to efforts across the various information security domains, with a focus on supporting well-defined and stable processes and procedures.
The individual in this role grows his/her understanding across the various tools and processes supported by the team and starts to make key connections between information security and other parts of Technology. He/she receives regular guidance and direction from more senior level associates on the team.
Key Responsibilities: • Conducts basic data analysis and reporting • Helps assess adherence to the information security processes supported • Answers questions from associates about the information security processes supported • Documents current-state business processes and opportunities for automation • Attempts to resolve problems, then escalates problems as necessary to appropriate resources (e.g., support team, vendor) • Contributes to process documentation repositories • Identifies and suggests possible improvements on procedures • Helps with the collection of information security metrics • Maintains an awareness of information security news and trends • Helps collect security related information and data and prepare it for sharing with stakeholders • Participates in regular security vulnerability assessments • Provides assistance during integration and user acceptance testing activities • Provides assistance as needed during information security incidents
Minimum Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, CIS, Engineering, Business Administration, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent work or military experience in a related field) • Demonstrated understanding of information security concepts, standards and practices
Preferred Qualifications: • IT experience in the retail industry • 1 year of experience in information security
