Associate Director, Strategic Initiatives
Summary of Major Responsibilities
The Associate Director, Strategic Initiatives will be responsible for leading and implementing strategic and growth initiatives across the Commercial team. This role will be responsible for collaborating with the screening business unit, cross-functional teams, and Business Development in assessment of inorganic growth opportunities and strategies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead commercial integration of strategic and growth opportunities.
- Lead commercial initiatives that build new capabilities for the Business Unit.
- Build and maintain relationships with key commercial stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of Exact Sciences' commercial capabilities to aid in assessing strategic and growth initiatives.
- Develop and drive project plans with clear goals, operating mechanisms, and regular updates to stakeholders.
- Identify and manage project risks; escalate, as needed, for resolution.
- Manage relationships with cross-functional project partners.
- Promote collaboration and cross-functional effectiveness.
- Supervise staff; including, but not limited to, organize and prioritize work, write/conduct performance reviews, train/develop, and manage work performance.
- Communicate goals clearly to employees to ensure understanding and success in achieving them.
- Motivate and inspire employees to do their best work through coaching.
- Maintain morale and support employee engagement initiatives.
- Uphold company mission and values through accountability, innovation, integrity, quality, and teamwork.
- Support and comply with the company's Quality Management System policies and procedures.
- Regular and reliable attendance.
- Ability to work seated for approximately 90% of a typical working day. Ability to work standing for approximately 10% of a typical working day.
- Ability to work on a mobile device, tablet, or in front of a computer screen and/or perform typing for approximately 90% of a typical working day.

- Ability to work on a computer and phone simultaneously.
- Ability to use a telephone through a headset.
- Ability to travel 15% of working time away from work location, may include overnight/weekend travel.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in business administration or field as outlined in the essential duties.
- 10+ years of experience working in sales, marketing, commercial operations or field as outlined in the essential duties.
- Strong financial acumen with a good understanding of P&L drivers and the ability to develop appropriate investment and sales forecasts.
- Demonstrated ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
- PMI Project Management certification or Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
- Experience in strategic positioning of products for success within competitive environments.
