Raytheon Missiles and Defense is seeking a defense industry professional to coordinate business development activities and create new opportunities to drive top line growth for the Requirements and Capabilities Advanced Technology organization. This person will lead business development efforts for with Office of Naval Research (ONR). In this role, you will be responsible for delivering new business solutions to customers by leveraging Raytheon solutions and capabilities.

Specific responsibilities include support of capture teams to include identification of new business opportunities, monitoring and reporting on capture status, management of New Business Investment (NBI) resources, conducting market assessments, lead generation and qualification, customer relationship management development, and execution of capture strategies in support of Advanced Technology & Strategic business unit growth targets. This person will be accountable for relationships and interactions with US Government agencies to develop new business, share information, and to immediately resolve issues as required. As a member of the Requirements and Capabilities team, you work closely with the other Business Units, Functional Business Areas, Programs and Product Area Directorates, and Requirements & Capabilities Executives (R&C Executive). You will ensure collaboration and alignment of all strategies to drive customer satisfaction across the teams and will report directly to the Sr Director of the R&C Advanced Technology organization

Responsibilities to Anticipate:
• Execute business development strategy to meet growth targets
• Coordinate and execute a prioritized plan of action and milestones that focuses on closing pursuits inside of the current Annual Operating Plan (AOP), and the Long-Range Plan
• Collaborate internally and with our partners to plan, develop and execute capture strategies for all ONR related pursuits
• Coordinate and manage program associated New Business Investment accounts, capture and proposal gate reviews, new business assessment and pipeline reviews, international reps and consultants, and customer engagements
• Lead by example and provide professional and technical expertise to the business development team, AT mission area, and applicable customers
• This position requires travel: up to 25% Domestic

This position requires a current Secret U.S. Security Clearance. Except in rare circumstances, only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications you must have:
• U.S. Citizenship is required
• A current Secret US Security Clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret
• 12+ years of experience in government, defense, aerospace, or related industry
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or related STEM field
• Familiarity with advanced technology domain operations and platform applications
• Experience presenting and communicating with customers and senior leadership

Qualifications we value:
• Master's degree in Engineering, or related STEM field
• Ability to be creative, innovative, take initiative, and act with speed and agility for advantage
• Relevant government and/or industry experience with an established network across government S&T communities, specifically Office of Naval Research (ONR) & Naval/US Marine Corps networks
• Solid understanding of the business development process, investment funding process and international strategic assessment
• Familiarity with requirements generation, resource sponsors, and/or program management experience
• Previous business development or program experience with ONR
• Certified Program Manager (or equivalent)
• Certified Capture Manager (or equivalent)

Requires expert knowledge of multiple work areas typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.

Expert knowledge of market with the ability to identify best practices and how to best utilize within RTX.

Typically requires:

A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience, or

An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years experience Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Typically requires a degree

in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited

by local laws/regulations.
