Job Description
New Hires based in the US & Puerto Rico will be required to demonstrate that they have been fully vaccinated for Covid-19 or qualify for a medical or religious exemption or accommodation to this vaccination requirement, subject to applicable law.
Our Market Access team monitor population demographics and develop solutions to give patients access to our medicines. We act as both educators and advocates for our products, processes, and practices that help us revolutionize how our medicines create value in society.
Our Global Vaccines Access Strategy team assesses population demographics, disease epidemiology and affordability to develop solutions to provide sustainable access to our vaccines. The Associate Director, Global Vaccines Access Strategy will work across vaccines franchises as part of a new agile structure, gaining broad exposure within the current portfolio of brands and future pipeline. There will be opportunities to work on franchise/brand specific access projects in collaboration with the respective access Director (i.e. New Products - Dengue/RSV, Pediatrics, HPV, Pneumo/Adult - PCV launch). This role will report to the Director, Global Vaccines Access Strategy for New Products.
Primary Responsibilities

  • Support the Vaccines Global Access Strategy leads for strategic planning and implementation of the payer value generation and access strategies for the product/ indication in scope, ensuring the achievement of business objectives
  • Collaborate with internal colleagues across vaccines to ensure alignment with the broader vaccines' strategy
  • The role will coordinate with Cross Functional Team members including Access Strategy, our Research & Development Division, Medical Affairs, Center for Observational and Real-world Evidence (CORE), Policy, Marketing/ Commercial and regional and country teams to successfully navigate the internal and external environments and deliver value to our customers.
  • Input into the development of Payer Value Propositions and Payer Resources, including Payer Value Decks
  • Assessment of market funding/reimbursement status for vaccines (I.e., public/funded and private/Out-Of-Pocket), population coverage rates, label expansion(s) and affordability by cohort to guide franchise strategies.
  • Attainment and communication of payer insights, including market research, from both external stakeholders and internal teams to guide strategy and opportunity evaluations.


Educational Minimum Requirements

  • Required: BA/BS
  • Preferred: MBA


Required Experience and Skills

  • Minimum of 5 years of overall professional experience within the pharmaceutical industry (ideally within organizations with large scale and complexity)
  • You should have a functional breadth which required experience in a minimum of 2 functions
  • Experience with strategy development and quantifying Business and Investment Cases with high uncertainty
  • Strong judgment, prioritization, and decision - making skills, with demonstrated understanding of broader context of corporate strategies, healthcare trends and policy issues
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills (written & verbal)
  • Comfort and confidence in working with diverse teams and backgrounds; routinely demonstrates inclusive behaviors; actively seeks out diverse perspectives and experiences
  • Proven ability to innovate and evolve skill sets across teams
  • Up to 10-20% Travel
