Job Description
New hires in office-based roles in the US & Puerto Rico will be required, subject to applicable law, to demonstrate that they have been fully vaccinated for COVID-19 or qualify for a medical or religious exemption to this vaccination requirement that can be accommodated without an undue burden to the operation. The Portfolio Marketing Team in U.S. Vaccines is seeking an Associate Director, Marketing, who will be responsible for supporting market access and organized customer adoption of GARDASIL 9. This is a Payer Marketing role that works closely with the GARDASIL 9 brand team and customer-facing roles including Integrated Account Management.
The Market Access Lead- GARDASIL 9, reports to the Director of Organized Customer Access & Reimbursement (OCAR). OCAR is a dynamic team of marketers with responsibility for priority US Vaccines across managed care customers and Integrated Delivery Networks. The Market Access Lead will serve as the subject matter expert on managed care access and strategy, providing expertise to the brand team, and developing promotional tactics and resources based on brand and business priorities. Additionally, the GARDASIL 9 Market Access Lead works closely with our Corporate Account Executive team to support the Employer segment. This individual should possess the capabilities to assess the changing healthcare landscape and how it is affecting stakeholders. The ability to analyze our access and reimbursement and appropriately serve as a subject matter expert enables extensive visibility for the Market Access Lead.
The role will provide experience in marketing strategy development, innovative solution design and execution, cross-functional collaboration, and customer engagement.
Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Identifying new growth opportunities through Payer Marketing and defining our Company's vaccine engagement strategies
  • Ensure appropriate market access and analyzing the changing access landscape
  • Identification of resource needs and new capabilities aligned to payer customers
  • Foster collaborative relationships across internal and customer-facing teams to ensure strategic alignment
  • Lead projects and programs through end-to-end process including appropriate Medical-Legal approvals and production/implementation; Facilitate cross-functional team interactions (e.g., Brand Teams, Field, Market Research, Digital Engagement Team, Promotions) required for the delivery of high impact, optimized solutions.
  • Lead the development of innovative engagements with payers that support appropriate GARDASIL-9 vaccination
  • Ensure all activities are in alignment with applicable laws, regulations, company policies and ethical business practices in conjunction with internal Business Practice & Compliance and Medical-Legal-Regulatory review process.


Qualifications
Education:

  • Required: BA/BS
  • Preferred: MBA/MS


Required Experience & Skills:

  • Minimum of 5 years combined experience in healthcare, pharmaceutical or vaccine industry including: sales, marketing, market research, or sales/marketing support
  • 10-20% Travel


Location:

  • Remote , Primary location Pennsylvania, North Wales ( Upper Gwynedd); Meeting at office 1 week/month


Preferred Experience & Skills:

  • Strong strategic thinking skills, innovative mindset, and results-orientation
  • Prior experience in Promotion or Brand/Marketing Management; Segment or Customer Facing Role (e.g. Solutions Consultant, Account Executive, or Customer Team Leader); Strategy Realization; Market Access; Contracting/Payer Marketing; or Global Marketing
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration
  • Attention to detail and highly organized
  • Ability to build and execute strategy
  • Versatility to shift in a highly dynamic environment
