Associate Director Business Planning & Strategy - Private Brands
Our Opportunity:
Chewy is hiring an Associate Director Business Planning & Strategy - Premium consumables to join our private brand team in Dania Beach, Florida or Bellevue, Washington. This person will create strategies for business growth, ownership of proprietary brands P&L metrics, and continuously assess the performance of the product catalog to stay ahead of the competition. This person will work across multiple categories in consumables and hardgoods, lead cross functional teams to deliver results in a high-pace environment. Clear and effective communication with strong leadership skills is critical.
What You'll Do:
- Develop long range business plans with merchandising, branding and finance and drive successful implementation of the proprietary brands strategy and plans
- Create and execute go to market assortment strategies to scale the proprietary brands business. Build strategies across site merchandising, marketing, and branding to maximize sales and increase new customer acquisition.
- Build and implement strategies to deliver on all key P/L Metrics such as Sales, GM, ASP, CPU, Assortment penetration and more
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners across business verticals to execute the proprietary brands launch strategy successfully on core (evergreen), newness and seasonal categories across the site. Partner with Finance, Category Management, Merchandising Operations, Site Merchandising, and IT to increase conversion
- Track performance of carryover and new assortment launches partner with cross functional teams to identify learnings and implement strategies to improve performance
- Oversee high-level direction and approve tactical, administrative, or operational policies to ensure achievement of objectives
- Interject new insights and ideas for improving customer experience and improving financials while holding true to Chewy fundamentals
- Ability to synthesize large quantities of complex data into usable/actionable information – take insights to improve the overall performance of the catalog
- Position may require up to 10-15% travel
What You'll Need:
- Minimum of 8+ years in buying, account management, or product management
- Experience with financial analysis and modeling.
- Extensive experience leading teams & cross-functional projects
- Ability to think and react in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
- Track record of taking ownership and driving results in a data-driven, fast-paced environment
- Strong in Excel (V-Look Up, Pivot Tables, etc.)
- BA/BS (MBA preferred)
